Yes, I only added mine later via the anzrewards.com site. There is some discussion of this earlier in the thread which I followed the steps through last night to set up for myself through setting up an auto-redemption option for Velocity and adding your number there once you have the card.

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

I am waiting out the 12 month card closure from an ANZ QF Black - does anyone know or have experience as to if ANZ consider this a different product when it comes to bonus points?

See post #78 which suggests that you would be ok now.

It has not been on my radar but looks like it should have been

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

I met the minimum spend on 29thNov.. i.e. Day1 of card activation. The points have still not been transferred, called ANZ few times about the points and was told that i will have to wait at least till the 4th statement before the points are credited into my Velocity account. When i mentioned the T&C around the points being transferred within 2months / 60days of meeting the eligible spend criteria..they could not find any reference for this and asked my to provide evidence of this.

I have NOT read the detailed T&Cs, could you please help me with some reference here..do we where is the 2months/60days time limit mentioned.

ANZ Card Services team does not provide consistent information and it changes depending on who you speak to..annoying, i ended up speaking to Card Solutions team and they have promised to call me back latest by COB today.

Today is 24 Jan. You met spend on 29 Nov. Add two months and you get the date of 29 Jan. It is not yet 29 Jan. Yet you have already called several times chasing points?

Personally I would not sign up to any card offers without reading through this section first, and certainly not call up chasing points without having read through it.

Note that with all sorts of offers that CSRs are not always across the details of all offers and so you need to be. Process is that then if the CSR does not know you just asked to be escalated to a supervisor to resolve your issue. However you need to actually make sure that you have an issue in the first place.

Legend...Thanks LTO. Found the reference in point#2.

I know its not been 2 months yet, but the fact they said i will have to wait till the 4th statement concerned me. Hence my post...thanks for your help. I only started chasing my points after reading the forum thread here...where folks have reported points being credited within the first month...dont remember the exact thread..anyways..some of us luckier than others :)

And yes that's the standard procedure to speak to a supervisor..i have been doing that for 5years now, i am new to this forum..but not new to the game. But sometimes in my experience even the supervisor doesn't know..."surprise surprise" and you get transferred to the Backend team..lucky me that in my case the Backend team (Card Solutions) was still in Australia and not overseas.

I am reading the forum threads everyday. I juut signed up and it will take me a while to finish reading the plethora on knowledge and intel posted here...awesome work guys.

Thank you

good advice ^^

I called today as when I called a fortnight ago to add my velocity number I was told the points would take a week and to call back. CSR today confirm that was an error, and they would post 60 days after min spend (mid feb for me). I am watching this like a hawk cause I held the black card a month prior to this (which according to the terms is ok, but I will be much happier when I see them in my account!!)

again, CSR was very pleasant!

No problems.

However I am of the view that if you gain points early, and one often does, then great, but that one should not draw banks, airlines etc attention to their own terms unless you really need to. Even worse is to draw the banks etc attention to things just because someone else has gotten them. This is how loopholes or generous behaviour gets shut down.

Over several decades and in particular the last decade, I have benefited hugely from various, glitches, mistakes, poorly written terms, or just way too generous promos to want in any way for the banks etc to be rigid on their terms or even worse to improve their terms and make them bullet proof. I think that seems to be a lot of emphasis at present on the forum to really go the banks on breach of terms but I cannot help but think that this is win the battle, but lose the war thinking.

It is in my, and in any hunter of points, interest that banks, airlines etc actually have shoddy terms and long may they so.

It may actually also seem counter-intuitive, but that banks etc are sloppy in applying the terms of a promo is actually a good thing for the points hunter.

In addition it is best to just grab the points and run like a thief in the night and to move on to the next points run. Do not draw attention unless you positively have to. ringing up up and hassling for points early is not going to help win the points war. The more fuss that is made on churning etc, the more likely that rules will get tightened.

Let's keep this very fat and golden FF goose alive and well.

Have read the thread but haven't seen anyone reporting success with this card whilst also holding the ANZ rewards black card? My annual cycle with that card is up on 11/02/17, but will apply for this first before cancelling the other one if it is all good and no exclusions on the bonus points.

And then the other question is will both cards end up linked in to the one ANZ rewards account? Would prefer to keep the one and not have to close it as I wait for the twice annual bonuses for transfer in to Velocity.

As above, having held the black I am waiting for my bonus points. I cancelled the black maybe 3 weeks before applying for this, the CSRs query today was did I transfer from another card, so I think (hope!) that is the thing to avoid.

Yes, both my cards are linked to the same rewards account. But be careful there aren't terms that say cancel the card lose the points, I don't think ANZ are as generous as NAB in that respect (pretty sure I lost the 200 that were left over, but I did have a gap)

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

I would say its probably a better idea to hold the Black Card so it's not confused with a transfer of product which would mean you're not eligible. I have the QFF Black so entirely different points scheme and card so fingers crossed. The CSR on the phone when confirming application assured I would receive the points as per what we have been hypothesising.

I had Black card and got a Traveller card and still got 60000 points. I cancelled Black after about 3 months when annual fee was due.

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

I received a phone call from ANZ today where the caller asked for my Velocity number and recognised that I was due for some bonus points that were coming later than expected. It seemed odd, but if it gives me points, that's great! If not, I may need a new card...

Re: ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure now 60,000 velocity points; 1 domestic return flight

2months from eligibility spend are coming up on 2nd Feb (as advised by ANZ)..no bonus points yet.

I am planning to draft a letter to ANZ on 3rd Feb (as advised in HSBC post by Dr Ralph with few edits)...and see what they come back with.

Any one have tried this with ANZ..please share your experience.

if i do decide to send the email, whats the best email address to send this too.. [email protected] or is there better email address.

Thanks
Tuf
