Apple iPhone 6 / 6 plus

I'm loving my 6 but the size requires a few adjustments. One handed use makes it hard to reach the apps at the top. Nice and quick though. Wish you didn't require the passcode every time but there doesn't seem to be a way to turn that off as yet.
Double 'tap' the home button (not double click) and the screen drops down so you can reach the top of it.

TouchID removes the need to enter a passcode except when you turn it on from fully powered off.
at this rate I'll need to add all my fingers as I swap between been right handed and a leftie.

Yep discovered that last night. Definitely need to relearn my holding/using techniques now that it's thinner and longer.

Lucky us girls don't have pockets big enough...but seriously, why would you put it in a pocket and sit on it in the first place?

If it can't handle a pocket, I dread to think what I am going to do to mine? I went through 5 iPhone 5's in a year...

I am thinking though, I might leave my iPhone 6 at home for personal time, and bring my old iPhone 4 to work, it had better reception anyway. Im not really sure phones, ar any phone other than a nokia is built for mining employees. Even sitting at a desk I manage to destroy a phone.

I've had the glass screen replaced twice on my trusty iPhone 4. The second time was after trying to slam the car door shut in the dark, wondering why the door wouldn't close.
Every time a new iPhone comes out I get tempted, but it's still going fine.
When's the 7 coming out?

Anyone know if theres a way to stop it requiring the passcode every single time I want to use it? Used to be able to set a delay on the older phones...

Try:
Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > turn Passcode Off

It will disable it, not delay its requirement.

Or:
Settings > General > Auto-Lock

to set the time before the phone locks itself.

How easy was that. Same as my i-phone 4. :p

At least that hasn't changed.

Turns out you cant. The delay is fine if you want your phone lit up for ages, but I'm talking about when you click the lock button, then want to view something a minute or two later. If you use touch id, you have to "unlock" every time. If you only use passcode, then you can delay locking for up to 4 hours. By locking I mean requiring the code, not the blank screen.

Oh ok. Sorry I can't be much help then.

I'm a swapper too, but you can store up to 5 fingers in TouchID. Two thumbs, two index fingers and a lucky ring finger for me.

There must be an app for this

I see an opportunity - an app that auto deletes any wrinkles, auto-corrects eyebrows to be perfectly symmetrical, skin blemishes rasterized.

You heard it here first...

As promised, my report on my first 24 hours with an iPhone 6+

I love it, yes the size will take some adjustments in how I carry and use it.
But the features and clarity are great.
My eyesight is not as good as it once was, and as such a bigger clearer screen is just the ticket.
So it's a 10/10 from me

Ah the devious Apple i's - a permanent planned obscelescence - bigger screen sizes as baby boomer eye sight (& inverse vanity) deteriorates.

Go long aluminum and sapphire glass!

Ah, that satisfying thud as the car door hits the chasis, hold on that sounded like glass breaking. Oops.

It is about time the Chaser boys do a program on mobile phone mishaps (perhaps a day in the life of a public service phone?)
