Think it will take me 8 weeks to get over lodging 7 companies and 7 orders for stationary. Pain about not delivering to PO Box's, will be interesting to see if my items arrive. Will just sit back and wait for the points, don't intend to use them until next year.

2 of 7 orders arrived today by star track express, VERY quick service. Hope all the others come in the 1 delivery, otherwise I will feel sorry for the poor guy driving this far out of civilisation.

Has anyone called the Aquire service team to cancel the auto payment of $179 for next years annual fee? How did it go?

  • That the join fee will be deducted from my payment card, the details of which will be stored by Aquire to automatically charge the following year's annual membership fee approximately 30 days prior to the membership anniversary. (Note:Your card details can be removed or updated at any time by contacting the Aquire Service Centre).

I wouldn't be in a rush to cancel until after the points have posted.

For those who've joined Aquire and made your purchases through Staples, how did you set up your Staples account?
The Staples website offers an ordinary sign up option, but on this page, it says to send an email to [email protected] with your information to ask for a sign up.

Has everyone else just signed up through the normal Staples registration page or via this email request? If the latter, how long did it take for Staples to get back to you?

Did you not use the Aquire signup on the page link from Aquire?

I've signed up for Aquire and now have an account. If I go to the Offers or Partners pages in my Aquire profile, I can click on Staples to go to their website.

I reach this page, which has two big red buttons: Yes I'm an Aquire memberandNo, I'm not but would like to join.

If I select the yes button, I get shown text which shows this:
Did you know we have over 20,000 products available on our website? This means you'll be able to find all of your business supplies here at Staples and earn Aquire Points at the same time.
To turn your everyday business purchases into Aquire Points we will need the following details:

  1. First name
  2. Last name
  3. Email address
  4. Business name
  5. No. of employees
  6. Australian Business Number (ABN)
Please email your details to [email protected] with the subject line Aquire registration on Staples.com.au. All this information will help track the amount of Aquire Points you have accrued against your Staples login.
However, there isn't a sign up button or further option. Is this what everyone else is seeing?

Yes & that is different to original sign-up system. Maybe they want to ask if you are going to spend more than $4.99.

So I'm not going mad? I went through the normal sign up process but there is no option to link an Aquire membership with a Staples account, so I thought I must have been in the wrong area.

Anyway, I've sent off an email (on Thursday) and am waiting to hear back. No answer so far.

The link is using your ABN for Staples which is registered with Aquire.

The link is using your ABN for Staples which is registered with Aquire.

Is that the only link? I can see a spot to add an ABN in generic sign up... is entering it there sufficient to ensure the link between Staples purchases and Aquire for the purchase to register?

No it's not the only link. You need to have your ABN in your staples account, but you also need to link your staples account to your Aquire account, which was the additional step It used to be a form after the 'Yes I am an Aquire member', but now seems to be the need to send an email. On top of that, Staples state 'up to a month' for the transfer from Staples to Aquire.

I sent them an email and they advised they'd backdate 2 weeks, so I'm making another purchase. I actually need printer ink, so they get my money for that, slightly more than my original order ;)

A bit worried...has anyone else received one of these emails from Aquire?

I am concerned my purchase didn't register for some reason. Anyone else?

Same here.

However, I've kept a paper trail which may protect my 10,000 bonus points. I hope that I don't need to go through all that, though.
