Staples seem to be on top of preparing the points for everyone. There was a problem with my ABN in their "Aquire System" they emailed me the next day about it.. So will be interesting to see how long until we get them! :)

I hope my ream of paper is still there when I get back to work.

Come to think of it - I really don't mind if it gets subsumed, as long as the points post.

Here's one for those who really just want to qualify for points and have no conscience at all...STAPLES™ 19mm Foldback Clips Box of 12......wait for it, drum roll..........$1.10

I think this may actually fulfill two purposes, the bonus points are great but it will also allow me to track my wife's work-related purchases to claim a tax deduction whereas she normally doesn't keep receipts. Prices seem to be roughly comparable with Officeworks?

20% cheaper than Officeworks in the cases of one of my my specific purchases.

I guess they don't have the cost of a shop front to cover.

In the end, I didn't have the heart to pay $0.05 for an item I wouldn't use, postage and 10k points.

$4.99 on the other hand!
Considering it's 2 points per *dollar*, something sub-dollar may be ineligible for any points at all (haven't read the rest of this thread yet, but just putting it out there...).

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

I have now placed an order for a further ream of paper. Hopefully this one gets invoiced and charged and delivered :)

Correct I think. You must earn Aquire points with a new Aquire partner so a purchase under a $ would indeed count for nothing.

My envelopes from Staples have gone missing...

Something went wrong with my Staples order and I had to ring them twice to chase it.
The order arrived today (initially placed 10th Oct) and has been given to me free of charge
First time I've ever been upset about a freebie
Now to go and order something else

AFter 3 phone calls, my envelopes finally got delivered yesterday......AND they are the wrong size!!. Fortunately, I have NO further plans to order anything substantial from them!!

Apparently we had the usual "we tried to deliver note in the letterbox". Funny that I included instructions to leave at the front door. Someone was home all day, the front door was open with the screen door shut, and they didn't hear anything.

I have been having the same issues with Dan Murphy. They leave the cases not at the front door as requested but out in the weather by the driveway where it can be seen from the street. This also despite being home and on Monday the delivery got wet when it rained.

My Staples deliveries have been great so far and the Staples drivers very pleasant. Top marks from me but that is just my experience. Maybe your deliveries have been contractors like my grog deliveries.

I also encountered no issues when my delivery came. Polite, came to the door etc.

Our regular Australia post guy is great. We've had one other experience of a delivery company claiming they'd attempted delivery despite one of us basically standing and watching the front of the house all day. When we eventually picked that up from the depot and confronted them, the reply was that attempted delivery just meant it was put on the truck. We've also had some where they have just put a delivery note in the letterbox and not even gone to the door.

And they want to reduce letter delivery to twice week now they have split and corporatised Aussie Post into letters and parcels. I am amazed the parcel division makes anything at all yet it reports increasing revenue.

That is correct. More of a tounge-in-cheek comment than anything.

Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. I have an ABN but was wondering whether it was worthwhile taking up the offer. Now I know it is - as long as I don't have Princess Fiona's experience!

Done! Now we need some paper and a new wallchart planner for next year. I also used ISelect recently because I was unhappy with Medibank Private (probably played into their hands by leaving at an age when they'd be likely to start paying out more) and surprisingly got 5290 points in my QFF account - nice suprise as I (was) about 10k short for a return J class points trip for 2 of us to Europe. I knew about Aquire but hadn't really looked at it in detail.
