Aquire 10K bonus for using a new partner and double flight points

We used to lease our office from Regus. And were very pleased to exit asap.

I've already made a call to Regus to try and get my points after a visit. No joy. Promised a call back but never got it. Has anyone seen anything post from Regus?

I gave them a call the other day and they indicated that they will now manually process the bonus 1000 points. Will wait a week or so and see what happens.

I've just received a response from Staples reference missing points. They've said "as long as your email and ABN match Aquire then points will be awarded, however it is up to Aquire as to when they will be displayed."

Doesn't seem quite right.

I sent an email chasing the backorder and included a query about points not posting after 4 weeks. Here is the response...

Unfortunately I am unable to confirm your account is linked as Staples do not have access to Aquire accounts.

To ensure you are eligible for Aquire points your purchase must be made online at www.staples.com.au. Your account with Staples must be registered using the same ABN and email address as your Aquire account to ensure your purchases are linked.

I have reviewed your order and I can confirm you have linked your ABN (xx_XX) with Staples, you only need to ensure this is the same ABN you have provided Aquire.

To obtain the points you must have an active account with both Aquire and Staples – the points will automatically transfer to your Aquire account however they may take up to 4weeks to be visible.

You will need to log into your account with Aquire (https://www.aquire.com.au/home) to track and monitor your points,

I have attached the Aquire FAQ’s here – Office Supplies, Ink & Toner, Copy Paper, Technology & Electronics - Welcome to Staples.com.au

I hope this helps, please let me know if you require further information,

Thinking the backorder has delayed the transaction. Have taken the advice and rechecked the 5 accounts and 5 different emails - all good.

Oh nooooooo! Did I use the right email address for each account or was I lazy and just used the one for both Staples accounts? Quick check of accounts.....phew all good.:-|:)

I'm renting an office from Regus and was advised by Aquire to call them and register my ABN otherwise I may not receive points when making payments.

Ok - I've joined the Aquire party. Thanks everyone.

Some padded mail bags I needed from somewhere now coming from Staples. Plan on dropping into a Regis lounge for a short visit next weekend in Melbourne.

One question:
If my employees want to use another OW FF on qantas flights can the business pick up the Qantas Aquire points and the employee travelling pick up their preferred FF points? I think I saw someone mention that this had been possible?

Ta! :)

No. The employee needs to credit to QFF.

interesting ... I'll check the t&c's - aquire is linked to abn ...
... the answer is no (according to the t&c's):

6.6 To earn Aquire Points in relation to an Eligible Flight, the Member's ABN and the Aquire Flyer's QFF Program membership number must be provided at the time of booking and the member must comply with any other booking requirements or procedure advised by Qantas or the travel agent.

Interesting. So if a aquire business/company book a flight for an employee who is NOT a QFF, then they won't get any Aquire points? That doesn't seem fair.

Would that allow for a retrospective points claim on another OW?

Anyway, in all likelihood a QFF number will be used - was just wondering what the alternative scenario would be.

No it doesn't seem fair to me either - After I discovered this the hard way I then had to join up quite a few staff to be able to collect Aquire points.

Note to self, spend more time reading the T&C's

Still no sign of my base points. Doesn't bode well for getting the bonus...

In my account I have 12 points and 1400 pending (Qantas flights). When I click the activity statement there is no explanation for the 12 points, just the details of the flights.

I'm guessing those are staple points?

In Activity Statement page select a month to view transactions. Your Staples purchase was most likely October, so select October from the date drop-down menu.

Thank you. The flights were in October but the staples purchase was just outside the 30 day window. And yes, it was staples. :p

FWIW, I've just received confirmation from Staples that backordered items will change/delay order transaction date. My 2 x paper reams have morphed my mid Oct order into an early Nov one. Lucky I chased it up before the 16th!

Incredibly frustrated that I'm still chasing Staples for points. It better not affect my receiving the 10k bonus. Somewhat ironically, when I called this morning, their office had been evacuated. I'm awaiting a call-back.

When my points came through they were dated on the original transaction date. I assume your Staples accoiunt and Aquire account were linked? If you have the email with the free shipping code, then they should be linked.

Mrs Excel and I are both still waiting for our points too; given the same "it will take 30 days" answer when we complained (separately). Just ticked over 30 days so will pester again today.
