Aquire 10K bonus for using a new partner and double flight points

Doesn't the Aquire scheme reward an employer for making a business related booking for an employee on a Qantas flight? I would guess there is a minimum age standard for who might be an employee.

I was looking at the T&C's the other day and Aquire points can only be earned for business related travel.

I guess children are defaulting to non business these days.

... not sure if the T&C's have changed or not since inception.

Other than children there's no way to police that spend.

My experience

2 Adults + 3 children (2 over 12 so adult fares) on the same booking / PRN

All 5 registered as employees under acquire

All in the same class (w)

ABN entered into the booking

Acquire points came in for the two adults but not the three younger persons

That does actually make sense.

Child fares have a specific exclusion under the Aquire T&Cs:

Aquire said:
Eligible Flight means, unless otherwise determined under clause 4.1, a regular scheduled flight operated by Qantas, Emirates or American Airlines with a Qantas ‘QF' flight number shown on the ticket that were purchased in Australia and ticketed on a Qantas ticket (ie where the ticket number for the Itinerary commences with the numerals ‘081') and excludes:
...
m. child and infant fares;
n. flights for which the booking indicates a child or infant passenger;

The condition "flights for which the booking indicates a child or infant passenger;" could be questioned. It's not exactly unheard of for a family to travel somewhere where one of the parents is there to work whilst the rest of the family is there for a holiday.

Of course there is also the argument of their program, their rules.

If you have got away with claiming Aquire points for a child occupying a seat then good luck to you, I hope it continues. It is drawing a long bow to expect your kids to earn points under Aquire & to get upset that your child is not accepted as an employee. Just doesn't pass any reasonable test.

I'd cop it on the chin and just be thankful that you can get points for your partner, your mates, or the friend of your neighbour without having to prove employment.

The six week mark for my Secure Parking booking is this Friday so I will be monitoring closely whether the base and bonus points credit in a timely fashion.
I'm only at the 1 week mark - nothing showing in either of my activity statement yet, but I will patiently wait...:o

Pending Aquire Points 0
Target 20,000

Did anyone see this clause:
Aquire Points can be converted to Qantas Points once:

  • 20,000 Aquire Points have accumulated in your business' account and
  • 2 travellers have flown on one or more Eligible Flights for business purposes within the applicable Membership Year

https://www.aquire.com.au/partner/qantas

Has anyone transferred Aquire to QFF points when only one traveller has flown on an eligible flight? or even no eligible flights taken - just other partner earn?
