Aquire 10K bonus for using a new partner and double flight points

I gave them a call, explained that I'm waiting for the bonus, however the base arrived in my account over 8 weeks ago and they said there's a slight delay, but they're hoping they'll get it out before Christmas. They did ask if there was any urgency, but I don't have any awards I need to book so it's not the end of the world!

Thanks for the update samh004. Therefore as my transactions were done just prior to the 15/11 deadline, they'll have sorted it out by the time my 8 weeks rolls around - or am I just into wishful thinking

I took them at their word, and can always call them back and be a nag after Christmas.

They said Staples first... so there's definitely a volume of calls coming in.

Someone from Aquire just rang me re the 10k bonus. They mentioned this forum, so they are reading all our frustrations.

Unfortunately the 8 weeks is from when the points appear, so even though mine are dated October 9, they appeared in late November (courtesy of weeks of hassling Staples). So my 8 weeks is not up yet. They acknowledge that there are problems that are being worked on, and said if I didnt have the bonus by the end of December to call again, as it was getting too drawn out.

Oh great , so my Secure Parking transactions haven't yet posted to either of my accounts and the clock hasn't started to even tick on my 6-8 weeks.

I also said I wasnt happy with the use of the word "appear". Apparently this whole promo is a test of how things work with their partners. I'd say it gets a big fat F at this point.

Well that's wrong too. My staples points appeared October 11. Well over 8 weeks now.

I also mentioned that, and they did acknowledge that the awarding of those points is behind, but they are working on it. I don't see why I should have to wait longer because Staples had so much trouble awarding the base points really....

Thanks for the update blackcat. I find it all pretty ridiculous. I mean, from when the points "appear"?? What the hell does that mean?? How is anyone supposed to know when they "appeared" unless keeping a daily diary of points posting.

It's all very bizarre. Lucky I don't need the points.

Unfortunately they seem to be able tell when they appeared (they read the date back to me).
