Aquire 10K bonus for using a new partner and double flight points

It's pretty obvious now the disabled transfer is due to folks (including me) getting the bonus 10k erroneously posted twice.

Just got this on my statement:
POINTS CORRECTION DUE TO SYSTEM ERROR -10,000

Damn, wish I was faster on the transfer.

Ditto. I simply thought it was a Christmas present ;)

Probably nothing, hence why they blocked transfers yesterday to sort out the problem.

I think it was fairly widespread. I didn't get double bonuses but I know a few that did.

Points clawback from QFF accounts has occurred in the past with woollies points so an in house entity would have no issues. How they subsequently handle a negative balance would be interesting.

Fingers crossed, though no real loss I guess. A little bonus would have been a nice Christmas present. I wonder why some got it and some did not...

Not entirely OT, but ...

Last year, Air Canada/Aeroplan did a claw back of points from a number of peoples accounts reversing over-generous bonuses from 1 to 3 years prior  . They simply put peoples' accounts into negative values where clawback > balance .

Just transferred 20022 across from one account - another showing 10K but nothing else - another still nada of any type. I did also apply for the Westpac Buciness Visa Card which earns 40K bonus pts - got approved for that one too - been a good year for QFF pts cultivation.

How many other businesses (besides mine) still have a "pending points" balance?

Due to 'simpler and fairer' and due to some of our people choosing to fly VA or (gasp) JQ, I am not sure we are going to crack 20,000 points before April to get our pending points released. That 20,000 point barrier is one reason why we won't be renewing.

Yes. But I think we crack ours before October which is our renewal date. We also received double bonus for some reason. We are half way there in just over 2 months. And some OS trips planned.

I received mine last Friday
Two lots of 10,000 points, both dated the same day

Not sure why as I was an existing Aquire member.

All now transferred to QFF

I didn't transfer the erroneous points, figuring they'd find a way to take the points back anyway, I knew I wasn't entitled.

Wonder what happens if you've already transferred them?

I got them, but only transferred what I earned.

I passed the pending stage a while ago, however agree with you on the reason for not renewing. That and it's also a tad expensive for perhaps a measly 20k points a year! :p

I'm sitting on >18,000 pending points with 6 months to go. Pity award flights don't count :(

I'm sitting on about 18500 pending points. Would've cracked it already if the pre-registration promo points went into pending. But I'll trigger the qualification as I have 2400 aquire points booked up to the end of Jan.

I'm conflicted about the value paying the renew fee. Basically, $180 to get 20000 points, 0.9 cents per point. Assuming you make the pending. Or sign up for an anz credit card for free and get 25000 points.

Got my 10k on the 19th. So far I'm very happy with Aquire as it got me almost 70k points since April :)

How to win " browny points " with the boss's wife....... Transfer the 30,230 aquire points to her QFF account instead of his.
