Are Jetstar really that bad??

I imagine, they would also prefer to have things running properly, but with a fleet and crew stretched thin (heck QF themselves are too) there's just no wiggle room.

The only reasons im booking JQ is super cheap QF SC at times when theres a massive sale and max bundle. Even then i weigh up how much i actually need to be at that location at a specific time.

The return for free birthday sale should be coming up in a couple of weeks. I can't wait. I'm ready to book several trips.
I agree, if they're going to get me Brisbane to Sydney return for a cheaper price then the trains on either end then I don't care if I'm an hour or two late.

What about a day late
Yeh I've had a day late as well (787 from NRT to CNS engine issues). On domestic when I have had issues on golden triangle routes normally they offer Qantas as an option.

Touch wood never had an issues crossing the tasman which are my most regular JQ flights.

I'm afraid I can no longer book International flights with Jetstar, given their recent performance (see recent JQ7 stats).

I really can't afford to not know what day I will arrive (or even if I will arrive), particularly if transferring to another flight at some stage.

And what happens if your JQ flight is cancelled and your nice row 1 787 seat is replaced with the worst seat in economy on an airline with poor service in Y, such as QF? Not for me, thanks.

Are the original Max bundles honoured for points and status credits?
Nope, you earn QF credits then however I’ve never bothered but I’m sure an original routing credit would be possible.

I have to do this flight in a few weeks and then go on to another flight in Singapore. These stats have me slightly worried.

Booking a quick 4 day mini break inc flights for next week.
Jets*** is 200 cheaper per pax. Nope......
That's $438 Jet v $650 for the alternative.
It's still not worth it for me after our recent experiences
And I am an inveterate skin-flint - just ask Cruiser Elite (poor guy couldn't afford Christmas gifts for family after I screwed him so tight on 3 electric bikes...😆😆)

Anyone know what kind of salary they pay for crew jobs? Had a look on their webpage and didn’t see it listed.
(Not for me, just for interest sake… I’m guessing just slightly more than half a turnip per week plus access to discounted company flights that may get you somewhere +/- 1 week???)
I looked at their Enterprise Agreement on the FWC site and this is the latest info I could find, for domestic cabin crew (there's a separate agreement for widebody international). Minimum salary for F/T is as follows:

I didn't scour it further to see if there's any inflation indexation. There is also an additional $6 per hour (approx) per flying duty hour, and overtime etc, so I'm not sure what an actual average salary would be.

There's another enterprise agreement for "Team Jetstar" which appears to be some kind of labour hire company they've set up, presumably in order to erode pay and conditions compared to existing staff, so you'd definitely want to find out for certain under which agreement the job is being offered.

Its not massive but plenty of pax do far worse jobs for a lot less I would imagine.
