To be honest - this thread is about the Ashes cricket and post of scores is what happens.

It is abnormal not to post so in a thread such as this.

If I were more interested and recording or whatever; I would simply steer clear of this thread - read it tomorrow etc.

What really gets my goat is when someone posts the scores for something I am recording on a random thread, such as "The Totally Off Topic thread".

To be honest - this thread is about the Ashes cricket and post of scores is what happens.

I disagree. AFF is for discussion and comment, not mindless posting of scores one can get from other sources such as newspapers and other media. What's the point of just posting scores? Sheesh.

As I've said, I read AFF (web browser, what's new) while watching delayed broadcast and skipping incessant adds. If you just post 3 for 21 etc on the first line, then it appears in the précis shown on the item list.

One may as well just post the current temperature in Birmingham every 20 minutes to have the same value. Neither contribute anything useful to the thread and discussion.

You must have missed reading my Brisbane First Test threads over the past 4 years where I am posting from the cricket the updated scores. There are some out there in AFF-land who like the updates as they may be unable to watch. As serfty said, no need to subscribe to this thread if you don't want to know the score - go watch it on the TV

I'll stand on the record that I just don't post the score, but there is always a comment and/or continue discussing another posters comment.

Anyway, must head to bed and get the obligatory 6 hours sleep - hoping like others to wake up to 3/400 . Eeek, Rogers has broken his run of 50's and out for 6. 1/18

Both teams are capable of throwing away the advantage.

Aussies had the advantage yesterday and allowed England to get nearly 150 lead. Poor bowling with a few good balls here and there.
