Good to see England held it together!
good to see england held it together! :d
That's cricket.Stuart Broad has asked me to check - could someone please post some links to the numerous articles in Australian newpapers berating Nevill's blatant cheating for knowing that England had no reviews left and refusing to walk after knowing that he'd gloved the ball down the leg side to Jos Buttler? Otherwise, there's some shocking two-faced standards being applied........
That's cricket.
Or that's what the umpire is for just like Tony Abbott in the non-walking of Bronwyn Bishop. Benefit of the doubt apparently. No reviews left.
Well it's easy to answer. BB refuses to walk when blatantly caught out, not given out by umpire TA. BUT more to the point - Stuart Broad is a POM!I don't see the relevance of Bronwyn Bishop - she is (allegedly!) taking personal advantage of her taxpayer-funded public position, so not exactly comparable to a sportsman......
If batsmen choose not to walk when they know they're out, that's their right - there's nothing in the rules to require it so it's down to their sense of sportsmanship, but if they choose not to walk, they can't complain if they're mistakenly given out...... My point was mainly about the double standards when people moan for months about Stuart Broad not walking but don't say a single word when Nevill does exactly the same thing.
What sort of pitch are they preparing? Flat deck? If not then my money is Australian victory inside of 3 days. When England gets on a high they come back down to earth quickly.Anyway let's hope for a good close game this time that goes for the full five days! Hopefully with an Aus win to keep the series alive.
England without Anderson look a lot less threatening.
