Seems to be a bowler's field day today. England all out, follow on not enforced, but two quick wickets off Australia.

:shock:Goodness, they can't manage Mitchell Johnson in Adelaide - there will be carnage in Perth!

To be fair to the real TMA, I think that the cultural differences between south Africa and Australia are a world apart and this has nothing to do with race. Would a British coach for Australia at this particular time in the team have been any better? I don't think so. Australia has come off the boil for a number of reasons and Clarke is a very different character to other captains. I was never a fan of Ponting. Clarke didn't seem to want to do some of the traditional things that past captains did. There was some team "stuff" missing. Lehman is very much a team player and I think he's got that back on track. It just needed a unique style of character to do that.

Agree boof demonstrates good middle ground respectful of old traditions, effective teamwork that is not boastful, lacks destructive eg but not cloaked in overstated ego.

To quote from the Telegraph (uk) cricket BBB commentary,

This has just been fast-tracked to one of the all-time great spells of bowling in Ashes cricket: five for 12 in three overs since lunch. Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust, if Johnson don't get ya ... actually, forget the rest, he will get ya.

Looking good for tommorrow a couple of coldies and an Aussie victory !

The Aussies thought that at this stage in the last test they played in Adelaide and look what happened, its a funny game.

Two days to play so will they bat until just before tea tomorrow leaving 4 1/4 sessions to get them out?

Current Sportsbet odds
Australia 1.12
England 41.00
Draw 7.00

Who's your money on Markis10

What are the odds on England losing by more than 400 runs or by an innings....might put my house on that!!!

OK that one is in the bag, now I can't seem to find a bookmaker to take the same bet for the Perth test. :-p

The Boxing Day test will be a bit of a damp squib at 3-0 and the Ashes already won.

Hopeless would suggest having some chance?

I guess you can't rub them out yet. 2 days to go, and we still have to dismiss all of them.

Australia's best hope may be either declare right now and hope England haven't learnt from their first innings mistakes, or try and quick-fire up to 600 and then press the attack. If England knows they can't win, they'll definitely put up the castle to try and make it as hard as possible for Australia to win.

I assume Mother Nature won't be helping out.

Another one worth a chuckle
