ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Please do not call...! Wait for other members to report the same to see what's happening....

If it's still working (and in your case just a delay in posting points) better you not call up and give them an opportunity to think about it...:!:

I'll second that, querying it just directs their attention to one of the last best deals out there.

Yes if you call up and blow that one out of the water that could be a problem for some of the followers in this thread. Be patient and just wait and see.

Don't stress all I'm not a newbie ;) Established member, check my post count! Won't call and potentially ruin for all. Will wait and hopefully a glitch.

I've done the obligatory searching and this yielded almost nothing...so I put the question out to my from AFF's: does the MC linked with a Diners provide points on ATO payments? Be as cryptic as you feel you need to be ;)

If the card is administered by Citibank then it would be highly unlikely for you to get a point for paying the ATO. You can do a small tester to confirm this and then let us all know.

Yes. It works. Is that cryptic enough?

any anecdotes of pre-loading WBC alt. black into "debit" and being awarded points as usual?

No problems for me.
Have done it for the last three months, more than once each month, 5 figures each time.
Points come through quickly.
The only problem I have is it takes a few days to show up on the ATO Portal, but then the entry date is backdated.

Sorry to do this but my accountant has just dropped a huge BAS on me and it was due on 28th!
I just need to know if the new ANZ Black is still good for ATO as I'll be maxing out all my other cards. Apologies for not going through this thread.

I've got a similar Q - would like to know how it goes. Have noticed that they show reward points by line/spend via internet banking....much better than CBA which is one of my bank/CC provider.

Heck I paid $50,000 too much and my partner $50,000 too little. I think I will enjoy getting the refund. Well anyway it is an extra 75,000 miles/points.

Accidentally, or accidentally on purpose? Not really totally bad news!

I am having a good run this year. The ATO keeps sending me a quarterly BAS for the superfund demanding a payment.I pay and 30 days later get a refund cheque saying it was a mistake. They have made the mistake 3 times now but as far as I am concerned they can keep on making the same mistake as long as they don't go and credit my CC but keep sending the cheque!

Early June I mistakenly overpaid $65k in two separate accounts. I am yet to receive notification of refund so may have to apply.

My understanding is they will eventually do it but will take a while so yes, agree you should apply.
