We do not need a 5th bowler though, especially with Head's more then serviceable tweakers - you'd think it has to be Burns given he's been the best performed shield batsmen last year and one of the best this year so far.

At the end of the day this is not a wicket up to Test standards.
After that it has been downhill. You expect a wicket to deteriorate but this is more than that.

Compared to what we played in the UAE?

Australia played very well on the first day. That won them the match.

Pitches are variable and deteriorate. Often depending on the weather conditions over the 5 days.

At least the Sydney test will be a live one for once.

Ok...I have been following today's cricket Easy to fix the pitches. The home team can ask the curator to prepare whatever pitch they like but the visiting team always gets to choose whether they bat or bowl first - no coin toss needed! That will even things up
