NT presser. 1 new case. Chief Minister freaking out. Lockdown extended.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a case here or they aren’t being upfront with us. 29 of the miners from NT are here and wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t been tested yet.I think the freak out of the day cake goes to the SA CHO who has reintroduced restrictions for a grand total of zero cases. Mmmm hmmm
Clearly a bad hair day

SA brings back restrictions after announcing zero cases so ‘they don't end up like NSW’
Nicola Spurrier has just answered in response to a question about why the state is "overreacting".
"This virus has a way of getting in here," she said.
"This is a really significant risk. If we get this Delta strain in our community ... we will have a very serious problem that I can't promise we'll get on top of.
"If anyone wants to think about what kind of problem it could be, just look at NSW at the moment."

In years to come that story will be on some radio program for true or false. Since when is it not that a deer is startled which makes it hard to believe but then what kind of man goes sun baking nude in the middle of winter then runs off into the bush to get lost. Sure the deer was thinking is that two men or two women, its kinda cold so its hard to tell from this distance. On a lighter note, the NSW Police held a press conference to outline their enforcement activities and fines issued for breach of Covid restrictions. You'd have to be unlucky!
Top cop’s wild ‘naked sunbathers’ story
Two men were “sunbaking naked” on the NSW south coast when they were “startled by a deer” and ran into a national park, where they had to be rescued by emergency services – before being hit with $1000 fines.www.news.com.au

Hopefully isolation away from their families but in the same home, regardless of the type of strain. We have gone back into some restrictions, but we have no Covid here (yet). Not even a mention of sewage. Masks for close personal services etc. All miners located and tested negative and now in isolation with their families.
I'm not sure. I get the feeling that unlike the various states these days, they were all in it together. Remember that phrase?Hopefully isolation away from their families but in the same home, regardless of the type of strain.
I recall reading 4 were vaccinated, right?
There’s still time to test positive but so far......Based on what Hazzard just said, I would doubt that. Indeed I think it was the opposite with all those having had one or two doses were all still negative.
Not sure if the numbers line up.Ok, I have found the answer to your question as I did not think that he said four today.
"I can also advise that six health workers who attended the party, who were fully vaccinated, not one of those people has been infected."Mr Hazzard said there was also an aged care worker at the event who received their first dose who also did not contract the virus."Obviously, it's an unfolding situation … but the early and strong indication from that party are if you're vaccinated you are much more likely to not be infected with COVID-19."Short message is, get vaccinated."
Not sure if the numbers line up.
Earlier they said 24/30 - so 6 vaccinated lines up. Where does this extra aged care worker appear? It’s rhethorical for whoever wants to get to the bottom of the numbers regarding the party
The CHO also banned singing for a week. No mention of touching the ball at an AFL match though.I think the freak out of the day cake goes to the SA CHO who has reintroduced restrictions for a grand total of zero cases. Mmmm hmmm

I expect the original 30 number was a slight underestimation so that the party was 'legal'.Maybe it like a baker's dozen

I wish they would confirm this was with Pfizer.
Yep I said that from the start - deliberately left people off the list (including her own father) to keep the numbers below 30 to avoid a fine for breaching home gathering limits.
