Australian Reports of the Virus Spread

This article had some updated information on Delta symptoms:

The most commons signs for those fully and partially vaccinated included a headache, runny nose, and sneezing, followed by a sore throat.

For those not vaccinated, it also included fever.

A persistent cough, shortness of breath, and fever – common symptoms of earlier variants – were relegated further down the list in terms of prevalence among patients.

Do you think it's QLD I'm concerned about? Because you couldn't be more wrong.

Your post was replying to my comment about somebody else claiming the QLD and NT cases came from NSW which they didn't.

Your comment "NSW's refusal to stomp on this at the start with a LOCKDOWN has spread it all over the f-ing country" is just blatantly untrue and I've explained why.

You are clearly not interested in facts. If you want to start a slanging match for Labor vs Liberal states, that's not this thread.

It’s not hindsight. It’s called proper government policy. Just as practically every other government has done. Just irresponsible behaviour of our Feds.

Oi, over here before we get put in the naughty corner.

Since this part does not really relate to the vaccine (don't want to upset the mods), I'll continue..

18 months ago was Dec 30, 2019.

It was late January 2020 before Covid was identified by the Western world.

Then there were many, many months of people saying "There's never been a coronavirus vaccine"

Your timeline is off with the fairies.

A tranche of posts have been deleted. They were off topic, contained personal attacks or quoted such posts.

And no, I did not just edit out the bad bits; I deleted the whole post.

If you can't stick to the thread topic - don't post.
If you can't be polite - don't post.
If you can't resist taking the bait - don't post.

Very unfortunate, really. Perhaps the wrong forum for those posters with deleted posts.
Except that most of them were simply in the wrong thread. It gets confusing in here sometimes. 😉

Apparently the AFL in Adelaide this weekend has not been cancelled and they are still looking at maximum crowds. I'd expect that it seems the miner case may be one of super spreader (the first positive). SA is now looking at whether the first negative test on Saturday was a false one which makes the Virgin flight much more at risk. Let's hope not.

Just a note to point out that the ALF game in Adelaide has already been cancelled by the AFL. Both Adelaide teams have flown to Melbourne.

They have flown there in case Plan A fails.

Current as of now
"The AFL will play the Crows-Brisbane game at Adelaide Oval on Saturday unless there is a South Australian lockdown or Victorian border closure in the coming days.
Adelaide was set to join the Lions in Melbourne on Wednesday night after the league ordered both the Crows and Power to flee SA as a precautionary measure because the state recorded five new Covid cases that day.

These next 24 to 48 hours will be crucial but the league wants to play the game as planned in Adelaide with a crowd.

If SA case numbers climb in coming days and the State Government locks Adelaide down or the border is closed, the match will be played in Victoria".

The "Limo" cluster is now in QLD courtesy of the VA flight attendant (and sounds like a second Brisbane based FA is infected now).

Yes that was there, see circled in orange below. I did not look for it as it had been stated that there was not a Qld case.

Hopefully she has not also left a memento of her visit in Melbourne.

In SA in an interview just now the CHO seems to be reasonably ok with current situation so hopefully that means there is nothing much to report today.
