No times yet for Vic PM or Qld press conferences - hmmm
There was a statement earlier saying something to the effect that because there was substantially more data to analyse today than usual, Vic's press conference would be held much later in the day. IIRC, around 2 maybe?

Code for "we have some pretty unpleasant decisions to make and we need more time to get our spin sorted", if you ask me.

EDITED TO ADD: Qld have stated there will be a press conference at 2pm

I reckon NSW and the ACT will be exempt.
SA also pretty sneakily enacted another 28 days of State of Emergency so SAPOL and SA Health will be effectively running the state.

I notice Gladys has also reiterated her call to ban Victorians from homes and businesses and that they will be banned from purchasing tickets to sporting games
I did wonder why SAPOL Commissioner was doing the grunt work earlier today. Grrrrr

And pension off a few of their Health boffins I'd expect.

NSW has 5 cases today all in hotel quarantine.

The Queensland border opening decision is teetering on a knife edge. I wonder if the back-room boys in AP's re-election bunker are contemplating a new slogan. 'We will build a wall along our southern border and we will make NSW pay for it'. :)

They will have to draw a line for the wall a bit higher to gift the GC to NSW because they and anyone in the tourism industry are are going to revolt when Anna backflips shortly on the July 10 opening date.

Courier Mails poll released today - 83% of Queenslanders support keeping the borders closed.

Draw a line from Rocky to Birdsville and absorb everything south into NSW. Everything north of this becomes Katterstan. Gladys does a deal with NZ to offer AP political asylum in the Chatham Islands..

But I suspect 100% of tourist businesses want the border open.

Apparently the SA directive applies to all Victorians... including sporting teams.

In other news, the AFL's Director of Scheduling has applied for stress leave... ;)
He was looking rather “iso” last month. Today he will likely be completely grey!

My guess is that the respondents were mainly from Brisbane.
My guess is also that the numbers supporting lockdown would be less in the 9 marginal ALP seats in coastal QLD.

64 coming from a Ch7 reporter tweet.

While better than yesterday, it's still an upwards trend on the 30-40 daily cases last week

Agreed but it is far better than a spike upwards to 150 or so which the current curve would indicate.

Those days are gone for a couple of weeks but maybe after that?
