Reversing out of the driveway means you could run over the postman.

As I’ve said many times, the fact that a single person can lead to the lockdown of entire states is a clear indication of a failed model. That’s simply not how society works.

What if you knew the postman was coming and closed your eyes and just reversed without a thought for anyone else.

coughpy thing is if we ever get to 70% vaccination rate sometime hopefully first half of 2022, irrespective of whatever the Phase Plan says, one or two positive cases and we are back in Lockdown. Simple as that.

I'm wondering if people who are vaccinated have such minor symptoms that they won't think of being tested. Especially being summer.

The Australian is running with the story that the Byron Bay man was there with kids, refusing to use QR codes, and uncooperative with contract tracers. Apparently unmoved by the chaos he has caused, so yes there should be consequences.

Of course I agree no spears should be thrown (literally) but - as all my family also work in healthcare - people knowingly and deliberately behaving in a way that risks others health and safety is beyond disappointing

Of these locally acquired cases, 147 are linked to a known case or cluster – 119 are household contacts and 28 are close contacts – and the source of infection for 209 cases is under investigation.




One hundred and two cases were in isolation throughout their infectious period and 40 were in isolation for part of their infectious period. Fifty-seven cases were infectious in the community, and the isolation status of 157 remains under investigation.

Even if Gladys did a full hard Sydney Lockdown, which she is not doing, Delta is gotten it's hand over Sydney and won't let go. Best we can hope for if holding the floodwater back, but if this same 'Lockdown' is used, it'll be in the thousands by the end of this month and won't get back under a thousand until well into 2022.

I don't agree thousands - it will get to thousands, but I think number will fall as vaccination comes up - but I do think Sydney won't get to below 100 again.

I don't disagree with this entirely, although that may well mean another 2+ months of this lockdown, that makes me think how NSWeshies will go, very tough times ahead.

The border won’t open until its zero (or the 80% national figure which won’t be until 2022). They can jump up and down. Andrews/Anna/McGowan all Labor and all have the same approach.
