The 6 million jabs treat in NSW is that groups of five fully vaccinated people can socialise outside from September 13 in areas not of concern. In the high risk areas, fully vaccinated people have an hour of recreation.. The right to recreation was taken away from those areas in the latest round of restrictions.

The premier also confirmed NSW would reopen once the state reaches 70% fully vaccinated. That could come be within a month/ start of October at this rate. Gladys said all businesses and people should prepare for that. Get vaccinated to ensure you don't miss out was the message.
NSW is also building a new app that will allow people to check into venues/ will show proof of vaccination.

Tuned in to a VIC press conference for the first time in a while. Interesting that Andrews is still bringing his big stick rhetoric about the virus. But is now ended with words along the lines of "we can end these restrictions sooner if we all do that, before 70%, before 80%, sooner than we otherwise will" which, if taken literally, is encouraging.

ABC News- ACT records 14 new cases of COVID-19​

The outbreak now stands at 190. All new cases are linked. 13 were in quarantine the whole time. The remaining one was only infectious in the community for a short time.

Oh... I thought I heard that children were excluded from the 5. This, though, would mean even 2 single child families (assumes 2 adults and 1 kid) can't meet up? Nice treat for those without kids I guess, or maybe where grandparents live near a single child family.

Its likely the NSW Government would be ridiculed if it was just hairdressers/barbers and nail salons.

I think whatever is suggested needs to consider the complexities to police enforcement. For example, household limits could be easily increased where everyone (except children) are fully vaccinated.

Outdoor exercise in groups of say up to 5 will create a lot of complexity - and potentially more will just mistakenly (or "intended confusion") choose to join in even though some might be half-vaccinated.

The other examples are quite difficult to administer (do you need all customer-facing staff to be fully vaccinated to allow outdoor dining?)

Given the NSW CHO indicated the full effect of the 6m jabs might not be seen in case numbers until mid-September, I actually think the simple easings won't commence until 15 September at the earliest.

Further afield, I think vaccinated (may be one dose) HSC students will be allowed to attend required school classes (like practicals) in term 3 - then all HSC students (both vaccinated and unvaccinated) for the 4 weeks of exams in Term 4. Then after HSC finishes the rest of high school. Primary to recommence in Term 4.

Well in LGAs of concern the outdoor recreation is only within your household, so unless you live with a hairdresser then no you cant. And if you live with a hairdresser they can cut your hair at home.

Outside the LGAs of concern, sure invite your fully vaxed hairdresser to your picnic and cut away.

If they are anything like the NT facilities that the Olympians used I'm not sure how much better they are than HQ.

Multiple rooms next door to each other with only a white line dividing the balcony. And allowing them to use a shared laundry.

About the only advantage seems to be individual air con, which seemingly was a concern in some hotels. And open air at the front door.

There has been discussion about what restrictions could be lifted in NSW - well here is mine. My household is fully vaccinated, and my daughter's household will soon have everyone over 16 vaccinated. Why can't we, and others like us. be allowed to meet up in our homes?

Well I got half my wish today. We will be able to meet up when fully vaxed. Daughter gets her second jab on Sunday, so will be good to go for outdoor reunion on Monday 13/9.

From my interpretation of the comments of the NSW Premier (who will probably having a day off as per usual today - welcome NSW Health Minister) this week, its likely you will be able to visit your daughter's household if you happen to live in an LGA/LHD with a high level of vaccination. Just put aside the societal impacts of bringing more tiers to this lockdown.

Well if both families all vaccinated (over 16yo), and they will be in the coming week, then not much of a threat really.

If I lived in Sydney or Melbourne I'd be scared to leave the house in fear of being arrested, even if I thought I was doing the right things. Wasn't someone fined for taking the bins out to the street an hour after curfew, as he stepped off his front lawn onto the pavement near the street?

If Wellcamp is actually ever used, and a transmission occurs there all those "no brainer" comments will come back to haunt AP. Interesting no information on whether flights will land at Wellcamp or BNE, how people will be transferred from Wellcamp back to civilisation (very expensive Uber to get back to the coast).

Its fine if you are all not in LGAs of concern, in the LGAs of concernn it is still forbidden to mix households.

Im already planning a meet up with 4 fully vaxed friends and my local cafe is planning picnic boxes and bottled coughtails to make it fun for all.
