About 4-5hr wait to be tested this morning. Site was meant to shut at 12pm today but staying open to 4pm. We are about 2hrs from front still and 30 degrees with no shade
+70 (18%) on hospitalisation and steady on ICU in NSWWow....109545 tests in NSW incl us on Xmas day! 6394 new cases and hospitalisations and ICU numbers creeping up!
What percentage of lines are hypochondriac numpties that tested every day? Easting everyone's resources and times.About 4-5hr wait to be tested this morning. Site was meant to shut at 12pm today but staying open to 4pm. We are about 2hrs from front still and 30 degrees with no shade
Who knows. We had to change our plans slightly and are going to drive down to MEL when we finish here. Hoping to still see a few overs at the MCG this arvoWhat percentage of lines are hypochondriac numpties that tested every day? Easting everyone's resources and times.
Yep. Just show a RAT on arrival but admit they can't check most.Still a hour from the front of the queue but heard that SA has dropped all requirements for tests pre arrival
Is that in effect immediately?Yep. Just show a RAT on arrival but admit they can't check most.

Moreover, why did they wait until August after they were eligible in May to get their first jab?Norman isn't the only one they need to fact check. The three-month delay between jab one and two means the Fishers weren't double vaccinated until the beginning of November.

Many over-60s who received an AstraZeneca vaccine are still not eligible for a booster. Are they vulnerable to Omicron?
Linda Fisher and her husband Ken are members of Generation AZ — the group of those aged over 60 who lined up for an AstraZeneca vaccine, the only one available to their age group for some time. But the three month delay between vaccine one and two has also pushed back their booster. Are they at...www.abc.net.au
Certainly. But remember they’re not doing it for free, and they’re getting paid a hell of a lot on Christmas Day.Much respect for staff at the state hubs who spent Christmas Day in PPE processing all those tests.

We're about one and a half hours into an estimated 2-3 hours wait, although I think it will be closer to 2 hours - we only need the testing as we said we would get tested on Day 5 after entering Queensland. Looking around the other cars, I think there are a lot of other people doing the same. I know we could try and dodge it, but it's not worth it. Although it is tying up a lot of testing resources that could be better used.

We're staying with my parents who are in their mid 80s. Plus, MrsK has come down with a cold. So we're ok with doing the tests, just to be sure. Finally some sense creeping in. QLD and TAS next please.
Not worth what out of interest? Do you have close vulnerable / unvaccinated people you are worried about infecting?
Exactly, they dragged their feet getting jab 1, and are surprised they have to wait for jab 3 - unbelievable!

We're still in the car, in the queue, but after I called Mum to let her know we were going to a little while longer, her and Dad drove down to drop off food and drinks (it's a Mum thing). The other people in the queue are quite jealous.
Sorry I left for an hour or so. The other restrictions occur from midnight but theres no mention of timing for this. I'd suggest yes.Is that in effect immediately?
Not sure I want to waste another hour here
…some people are just fact-resistant…Crazy isn’t it. At our Xmas gathering every adult except one was triple zapped (I will admit we do have some special access!). We are now working out when we want our fourth jab! Meanwhile at work I’m still trying to convince some numpties to get their first!
