. I guess a level of weariness sets inPeople just going back to their old ways. No distancing, no covering mouth when coughing, much like it used to be!

Out of interest where approximately in Melbourne are you? I am in the SE. City of Monash.
Apart from my walking path I have not left home since 7 July when I did my last shop so I cannot really give any first hand reports. However the roads nearby are definitely quieter with respect vehicles including the arterial ones.
Others are reporting though that mask wearing is now notable, and that there are a lot less people out and about. The google data shows this too.

Understand your dismay/anger, but weren’t any Victorians entering before the harder closure time required to isolate for 14 days? Or were they not even tracked so can’t even check on them?Masks are seen more frequently here in Adelaide too.
And our not so beloved Police Commissioner is advising we could go into lockdown here if it spreads to SA. Hmmm. And then the warning that we need to be on watch yada yada. Might be more palatable if they hadn't given over 24 hours of a closed border allowing plenty of time for Vics to travel here. It is this kind of policy that is completely out of the control of the people that makes me when we are then blamed (Andrews) or warned (Commissioner) that it is up to us to prevent spread.
Corrrection: I believe none of the positives at Crossroads hotel had been to Melbourne. They were all local. Still concern that upstream source not found yet.The contact tracers do amazing work! They have found an 18 year old who works at the Crossroads Pub in Sydney has the virus. He worked at the Pub on the 3rd July when two infected people from Melbourne visited. So they are asking anyone who attended the pub between the 3rd and the 10th to go into isolation. It’s like putting a jigsaw together!
ABC is reporting that two people from Victoria who were infected visited the Pub on the 3rd and the 18 year old was working at that time.edit - apparently a mistake in the blog and original case still unknownCorrrection: I believe none of the positives at Crossroads hotel had been to Melbourne. We had an open border in the sense that anyone could come to SA but their details were taken and they had to self isolate for 14 days. That was in place until Weds at midnight. Now only SA residents and emergency people can cross the border and self iso as well. The Govt announced a day before of the impending hard closure, which was just after Victoria announced the 6 weeks restrictions. SA is almost life back to normal and has been for some weeks so if a widespread infection erupts after this long from a last minute Victoria traveller it won't be received at all well.Understand your dismay/anger, but weren’t any Victorians entering before the harder closure time required to isolate for 14 days? NSW had an isolation rule from 2/7 for anyone who had been in Melbourne (I guess the previous 14 days), and then an isolation rule from 8/7 for anyone who had been in Victoria (again guess the past 14 days).
Do you mind PM me or adding the link? By my recollection, even as late as Friday Deputy CMO pressconference at 4pm Was concerned that upstream link not found yet And I’ve not seen any official government report confirming this.ABC is reporting that two people from Victoria who were infected visited the Pub on the 3rd and the 18 year old was working at that time.
I think there was a conference at 11am this morning.Do you mind PM me or adding the link? By my recollection, even as late as Friday Deputy CMO pressconference at 4pm Was concerned that upstream link not found yet And I’ve not seen any official government report confirming this.

An 18-year-old worker at the Crossroads Hotel and Casula in Sydney has tested positive to COVID-19.
This takes the total number of cases linked to the pub to six.
The employee worked on Friday, July 3, when two Victorians who were infected had attended the pub.
