Perfect storm… and we have Omicron plus gathering steam as well… what fun

Reported cases are increasing in NSW.
Not resulting in hospital admissions so far. I understand a high proportion are in the young. The new Omicron variant is said to be more transmissible but no more likely to result in serious infection. Some suggestion that may be more resistant to monoclonal treatments but similar effectiveness of antivirals

And to nobodies real surprise the less than 2% unvaccinated portion of the adult population comprise just under 50% of those hospitalised.

"Half of all West Australians hospitalised with Omicron were unvaccinated — despite comprising less than two per cent of the State’s adult population.

Between February 1 and March 4, WA Health recorded 73 patients who were confirmed COVID-19 cases at the time of their admission to hospital.

Of these patients, 48 per cent were not vaccinated, according to data released by the State Government to The West Australian."
Wouldn't be surprised if not vaccinated = not triple dosed. To further spread their fear and urgency, double dosed/single dosed/un-dosed may 'all' be classified as not vaccinated. Level of mis-trust I have over there is extreme.

The "despite comprising less than two per cent" suggests they're comparing to the completely unvaccinated. It would be news to me if we are at 98% third dose.

My level of distrust in that controlling regime is unchallenged.
I suspect that if someone with more time than myself were to set up a "search and replace" based on "the Premier" and 'Big Brother" Orwellian scholars would find a lot of interest in the last year or so.

Isnt that what VIC has done with their stats?

Isnt that what VIC has done with their stats?
What stats are those?

Daily stats from Vic Gov DH shows both double and triple vaxxed.

And at venues if vax status is required, double vaxxed is considered to fully vaxxed.

People who are considered fully vaccinated

You are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the purposes of attending a venue if:
  • you have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or
  • you have a valid medical exemption to COVID-19 vaccination issued by an authorised medical practitioner, or
  • you are under the age of 18 years.
If you can show evidence of any of the above, you can enter a venue as if you are fully vaccinated. See below for how you will be permitted to show your vaccination status.

People who are not considered fully vaccinated

You are not considered fully vaccinated for the purposes of attending a venue if you cannot show evidence that:
  • you have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or
  • you have a valid medical exemption to COVID-19 vaccination issued by an authorised medical practitioner.
If you can’t show evidence of any of the above, you will not be considered fully vaccinated and many venues will not be permitted to allow you entry.

SMH reporting NSW will announce 30k+ positive tests today with some earlier RATs not reported promptly due to data processing issues. I had thought that the last few days were suggesting a lull/decline but it seems not
