All the detail will be on the twitter post - Facebook is just reposting part of the Tweet.

I work in a primary school and the increase in cases of primary aged children is growing quickly and larger every day.
Small children do not social distance it is not in their nature.

Fortunately, I'm not on either. Actually I'm quite disinterested in the whole thing, but saw it reported and thought the slow rise might be of interest to some here. :)

FYI you don't have to use twitter (i dont), the posts can be read on line without an account. All the state and territories have been using twitter as the main way to release numbers etc, even ABC blog just copies the tweets.

I find it strange that SA and Tas are rising steadily yet NSW, Vic and Qld are not - all went back to school in Feb, so I'm not sure that is the whole story.

SA has the Fringe festival on. Started 10 days ago with acts from around the country. Anecdotal evidence that people are mixing freely indoors and poor mask compliance. Venues not well ventilated - just large tents. Then in a couple of weeks, WomAdelaide. Vaxxed only but lots of questions being raised by the PC himself as to why SA Health allowed few restrictions but basically banned another event the same time. He is very frustrated with SA Health and has called on them to explain their decisions publically. And he's ready to call an end to State of Emergency. I'd suggest the Saturday night after the election.

Things must be going gangbusters in SA, as you can't rent a Hertz car from a corporate outlet (eg airport, downtown) this month or next. But you can rent from independent licensees, eg Klemzig.

What's going on there?

Festival season or Mad March as it’s known here.
I had to pop into the CBD yesterday and it was absolutely packed, almost pre Christmas type levels in the mall

Ta, but I’m sure if it’s important enough, I’ll read it in the paper 😊. ATM I’m paying as much attention to Covid numbers as I do to flu during the flu season. None of my direct contacts and friends have had it, and only 1 friend of a friend. Yawn.

Tas schools lagged the mainland in going back by a week or two. Not sure if that’s significant.

Wait until many people you talk to have had it and it’s a non event. Even more yawn.

My mother had it and it was an event.

Her last.

We’re very sorry. That said, my grandfather fell down the stairs and it was an event. His last. I’ve not started a campaign against stairs. Nor the nursing home who had propped a fire door open.

I’ve had it for 4.5 weeks (tested on 28 Jan) and still have symptoms and testing positive. Frustratingly, I’m doing the right thing and working from home, can’t see clients face-to-face and losing income. But there’s little I can do, other than hydrate and wait.

Isn't the rules that one can leave isolation without being exit tested after 7 or 14 days isolation? ie not infectious about 7 or 14 days after testing positive (regardless of continuing symptoms).

Fringe. Festival of Arts. Writers Week. WomAdelaide. Long weekend on 14 March. Adelaide cup.

And, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last two years, you’d know that hire cars are in shorty supply worldwide as the rental companies took a year off buying any.

Interestingly, this adds a whole new dynamic. In the developing world, ex-hire cars make up a huge percentage of the used market to ensure that newer and safer cars are going to those who can’t afford brand new ones.

Makes a lot of sense when combined with the difficulties in shipping new cars. Price of used cars currently here is insane.

Not in Qld, rules are that if you continue to show symptoms, you must continue to isolate. I have had all the symptoms (fever, sore throat, runny rose, bad cough with wonderful expectoration) for the first 2.5 weeks and now only have the cough and slight expectoration. But I continue to test positive, which means that I can't see clients anyway (some of mine are in aged care facilities, where I can't go without a negative PCR).

Been a boon anyway as the kids are schooling from home due to the floods and means that my wife can work full-time. Cooking, cleaning and washing done when she gets home. Happy wife :D

Was still editing my comment when you posted @Pushka. Been in constant contact with Qld Health and my Dr. My biggest concern is my elderly client base and not being able to go places without a -ive PCR test.
