I had to show vaccination certificates at both SYD and MEL lounges in the last week. Bar staff also refusing to serve anyone who had removed their mask.
Mask exemptions were accepted when I was there.I had to show vaccination certificates at both SYD and MEL lounges in the last week. Bar staff also refusing to serve anyone who had removed their mask.
In Melbourne J lounge a week ago everyone had to show Covid certificate to enter. One staff member was also ensuring patrons checked in with the app or by camera. Last Saturday at Perth J lounge I also had to show Covid vaccination certificate. Again today at Broome, where the check in staff then highlighted on boarding pass so that security staff would open the door into (unhosted) lounge. Or you would have to show your vaccine certificate again to security.I had to show vaccination certificates at both SYD and MEL lounges in the last week. I had to show the green tick at MEL to access the QF J lounge this very early am. Had to ask how to show the vax cert without checking in on the Vic app.On 26/2 I had to download the vic app at MEL and attach my certificate to that. couldn't get into the lounge with my Tassie or QLD green ticks.
None of that applied to entering the (unattended) lounge at CFS or anywhere else there last week. However, I had to ask the check-in agent what the code was for the lounge but she wasn't fazed at all. The whole place was quite laid back, but the mask mandate was generally adhered to with good grace throughout the terminal, even though there were universal rain caused delays into SYD.In Melbourne J lounge a week ago everyone had to show Covid certificate to enter. Only took a personal experience to convince him thenToday SA Police Commissioner was speaking about his recent illness. (He is still in charge of the state under the Emergency Act). In January he had Covid. He isolated for 7 or maybe 14 days. As did his close contacts plus they had to do multiple tests. He was aware he had a respiratory infection but not much more. He recovered after five days.
Two weeks ago he caught Influenza A. He was extremely unwell. He was unable to work at all. He developed pneumonia. He could not attend a court case. Yet - because it was the flu, had he felt well enough he didn't have to isolate and could do whatever he wanted, his family could go about normal life. He said today he would not wish Influenza A on anyone but shrugged off Covid.
Clearly he is totally over the inconsistencies in all the restrictions and just saw he's looking to change close contact regulations.
I think he's been peeved off for some months. Ever since the pizza box took out his daughter's wedding. The then Premier kept on giving the Health Advice comment as opposed to both Vic and NSW Premiers who just led better even if we didn't agree with their decision making. So he would have had to go it alone. Today he's in court defending the mandate for vaccination yet he released that condition for Police Officers some time ago.Only took a personal experience to convince him then
When these sorts of people are running the show, no wonder the place is going to the dogs
What sort of person would you have run the show?Only took a personal experience to convince him then

Someone who doesn't get a disease then change their decisions based on their personal experience. A wealth of evidence could've pointed that person to the conclusion they reached months ago. It's poor leadership. What sort of person would you have run the show?
As you appear to have such strong views, it should be quite instructive.

In as much as it may influence state policy or practice, I imagine quite a lot.Why does anyone care about his personal experience anyway?
Why does anyone care about his personal experience anyway?
Exactly. No one should care but when it influences policy, people have to care.In as much as it may influence state policy or practice, I imagine quite a lot.
