If I understand correctly the graph and other things I have read:
The new cases per day (proviso - discovered & reported) has reduced from previous days which is a positive sign
However, the brakes can't be taken off and the number of serious cases requiring admittances is far more important as the length of stay is extensive and the health system will be overrun startlingly fast.
Even after the number of new cases drops to near zero the existing cases can turn bad and require ICU or general hospital beds for weeks to months.
