2 ABF officials now test positive. 1 in NSW and 1 in Queensland
Totally agree. That was my immediate thought too.But surely the likely source for the ADL baggage handlers is from the Ruby Princesses bags which would have been handled by the pax well less than 24 hours before the baggage handlers got their dirty hands from those bags.
The first one is understood to have had symptoms from early March.30 new cases in SA today, 6 of them in ICU
11 of the new cases are Qantas baggage handlers and a further two are family of the affected baggage handlers.
Any one who has visited ADL or the airport airport carpark within the last 14 days and are showing any symptoms are requested to come forward for testing
I believe that to be the case. The first one is understood to have had symptoms from early March.
Gosh that's good to hear.I believe that to be the case.
Due to working in the precinct and terminal daily I was one of the hundred or so that were tested yesterday and thankfully got the good news this morning that I was negative.
There is a very real fear amongst workers that the airport may be shut completely in the coming days

SA Health’s advice is that anyone who has visited the airport terminal at all or the car park in the last 14 days that are showing any symptoms should come forward for testing.Gosh that's good to hear.
Two questions. If someone collected another passenger off the last Emirates flight last week should they be self isolating? Second, I'm thinking a passenger coming in with luggage on 10th March is now past the time unless they were showing symptoms?
Yeah, workers are just panicking a bit though.Apparently now there are 11 cases, but not thinking of closing the airport just yet at least.
About 16,000 Australians flew out of the country in the fortnight after Scott Morrison told everyone not to go overseas, triggering calls for defiant international travellers to foot the bill for their forced quarantine when they return home.
The Australian can reveal the 16,000 citizens went overseas by plane between March 19 and 30 even though the Prime Minister gave a very clear instruction to “not travel abroad” on March 18.
In addition, 3800 Australians flew out from March 25-30 after an official ban on all overseas travel came into force on March 24 [under official exceptions].
The significant outbound travel numbers, confirmed by the Department of Home Affairs, emerged as West Australian Premier Mark McGowan considered making passengers who ignored travel advice and went on holiday pay for the hotel accommodation they must quarantine in for two weeks on their return.
He hit out at “irresponsible” West Australians who raced off to Bali, Thailand and the UK in the past fortnight.
Travel insurance no longer valid, I'd expect for anything. If the Government relents and somehow repatriates then their Level Warnings are meaningless. I thought that BC would need to ascertain that these people had a valid reason?Just a face-palm
Coronavirus: 16,000 fly out after PM’s call to stay
Excerpts (and I guess when it says 'PM', it means DFAT)
Though my sister flew out on the first day of that advice and is an Australian citizen but she is married to a British fellow and they live in Devon.
And which gets lost in the stats. Was she questioned at exit?Though my sister flew out on the first day of that advice and is an Australian citizen but she is married to a British fellow and they live in Devon.

If they were spreading, it’s going to make the US visitors/Barossa spread look like a picnic.
