until they allow our people to come home.
Ok ok enough with the state v state pissing contest / blame game never seen such a boring movie
No one is stopping people from going home, they just have to travel by the legislated paths, as they didnt return by road before the hard border came into affect.
I know you think the ruling is unfair, but withholding emergency medical treatment in the nearest hospital in retaliation seems really petty to me. The people waiting in Wadonga for an alternative resolution to the one currently on offer (i.e flying into ACT) lives aren't at immediate risk,. But driving 3 hours to a Sydney hospital in a emergency would cost lives, vs 10 mins to Canberra.
ACT residents can go home, SA and WA residents coming from Vic arent even being allowed to return to their homes except for some extremely limited cases. Qld has the same fly-in rule for anyone coming from Vic or NSW (be they resident or exempt visitor). But SA, NSW and Qld arent refusing to treat border town residents at their nearest hospital. Maybe think on that.
Gossip I am hearing is Liverpool Hospital has some cases with staff...

Well does a point I picked up interest you?
On the Project (10), it was stated that stage 4 lockdown has reduced movement by 55% based on same time last year. That doesn’t sound a lot.

You have not mentioned the Federal politicians who are fine to drive from Melbourne to Wodonga through New South Wales and grace the ACT with their presence. And we are so happy to have them here. Yes, people are being stopped from going home only from Wodonga. Double standards of the worse sort.
I don’t know how the Vic government defines movement, but they took into account traffic, public transport and came up with a reduction of 55%.And what do they define as "movement" as the roads and public transport are all clearly well below 55%?
ie This is 7.17PM in Melbourne, and those pics are more like 3AM than peak hour traffic. (Pocs are live so will keepupdating.

The Project just reporting what Vic Government says I guess.
I agree and the bit about them doing the wrong thing by not having left in time is quite annoying. The advice kept changing and people with permits thought they would be OK.
That’s weird ABC reported 90% down last night. Who to believe....
I feel sorry for those who got bad/changed advice but a closed border is a closed border.
Why should someone in Canberra get a police escort but someone 2km away in Queanbeyan can't?
To be honest I'm surprised given how well ACT has done that they are keen to have any returnees from Vic
Because they quarantine and do the right thing. We have had hundreds return from Victoria with no issues. 100% compliance from police checks. We are more likely to get cases from visitors from NSW.I feel sorry for those who got bad/changed advice but a closed border is a closed border.

It’s not petty - it’s called using leverage. NSW are too big and important to be bothered to sort out the problem in a timely fashion - it will get sorted and I am pretty confident it will involve people being allowed to drive back, so you use what leverage you have to get their attention,No one is stopping people from going home, they just have to travel by the legislated paths, as they didnt return by road before the hard border came into affect.

Is that the right video because there’s almost nothing in it apart from a woman saying that they’ve been ‘stepping up’?
