Australian state border restrictions

Yes I heard some events in regional areas can have 50% upto 10,000 spectators.

AP not required whatsoever.
Would be irresponsible to go under the circumstances.

It’s a done deal. She just wants the status and glory.
Which is not unreasonable - except when the host country is in the midst of a recently declared state of emergency meaning no spectators and the world in a pandemic. And after her views on business travellers being the cause of outbreaks in Australia resulting in many more people being stranded overseas with no chance of getting back. There being no other contenders so decision already made. Otherwise she should go 👍

But how many is she taking with her ? +/- Advisors and protection detail ??

she is too busy packing to go to Japan ✈️
At the moment there’s no cases outside greater Sydney. I expect that borders are being softly enforced with police checks, and the Queensland and Vic borders are a fair way from Sydney which makes it hard for people to drive through NSW to get there without being stopped by NSW police first.

The minute there’s a case outside the current lockdown areas I expect the borders to “slam”.

It certainly looks that way.

Will be interesting to see if it also includes the ACT.
Well if Vic's views are anything like what the Qld CHO spouted last year that would seem likely. Last year the QLD CHO said: "Canberra is declared a hotspot because it is in the middle of NSW"

Geographically the ACT is nowhere near the middle of NSW.

And that's fair, isn't it?

I don't like the QLD CHO's views on this matter, but one would think VIC would think pretty similarly to QLD on this kind of matter. Unless ACT can give some assurances that they've setup a hard border with NSW I suspect VIC will have concerns about travel from the ACT as well.

I’ve given up on what’s happening in each State and just keep track of my own. Not planning on doing any interstate travel.
