Australian state border restrictions

Does anyone know a centralised website that shows the COVID conditions required for travelling interstate for all states? I know I can look up individual government website but given each state has different rules I was hoping that there is a 1 stop shop for every Australian domestic traveller ....
You mean.... like....... AFF?
Yep!

As far as I can tell - this is the official QLD Government web site that addresses this question:

And down the bottom is this info - directly screenshot from that QLD web site (down the bottom of the page), I would be waving that around if anyone in QLD was asking people for paper test results or PDFs.

So Victorian testing centre results have everything except full name, hopefully first name only is acceptable

So guess i need to go and get a test (and waste resources) a week before hand to check exactly what comes through on the SMS, to see if it has all the required info.

Your phone should show the date and time the SMS is received irrespective of whether it is in the SMS itself, so that should be easy to screen shot.

Its nonsensical given Qld have poor testing volumes in their own state so have no idea what is actually circulating.
This is what my test says:
Your SA Pathology Test Results for COVID-19

Hi xx_X, your COVID-19 test on 01-Sep-2021 is NEGATIVE.

You need to continue to stay isolated if you:
- are still sick, or are a close contact of a person with COVID-19.
- have been advised to stay isolated regardless of the test result by a doctor, public health authority or SA Police.

Further information is available on the SA Health COVID-19 website or call the SA COVID-19 Information Line 1800 253 787.

Call your GP for further advice and for results of any other testing undertaken.

Remember to book your flu vaccination too.

ACT is simlar to the others States and Territories. It has your first name, Date of Birth, and that COVID wasn't detected

It’s because tax payers should not be funding tests for personal use (Pre holidays tests). Just public health required tests. Private test results are also sent by sms. It is ridiculous requiring a printed copy of result.
If Covid tests are required to travel, the only justification can be public health. In which case, why shouldn't tax payers fund tests required for public health?
People travel for many reasons other than holidays.

If the travel is essential, then I guess any tests should be at public expense.
But if the travel is non essential (i.e. only for individual or corporate convenience), then tests are just another private travel cost?

All this testing garbage will last weeks, if that… it’s an absolute mess…

It could be in the public interest to fund testing, even if it's for 'optional' travel, if it will help to reduce risk to the community by reducing barriers to people getting one. An ABC article yesterday discussed how canadian authorities were handing out rapid tests with fervor to avoid covid entering significant public events.

In which case, that private travel expense should be applied equally to all travellers, not just those that come from specific locations.

Victoria easing a heap of restrictions from midnight. Full house at cricket and tennis

Also close contacts (not including household contacts) no longer have to quarantine for 7/14 days. Just isolate until a negative test result comes back and you’re free to go. So Victorians actually have more freedom than those is WA who have to quarantine for 14 days if a close contact

This is an important point actually, I think people will stop getting tested if it means their family will have to isolate (in fact I think this happened in the sydney outbreak, resulting in someone dying from covid at home).

Or if they have gone within 1300KM of the Katherine outbreak...

Going through past tests, Laverty meets these requirements - but Histopath send the message without their phone number - but it has the text "HISTOPATH" instead. Surely that's still OK.

Also on iPhone, as far as I can tell, it won't show the date of the message if it was in the past week, only the day of the week.

I wonder how cough will they be about this?

No one is going to read all of this stuff, I bet almost all people will just rock up to the ‘normal’ covid test places so watch all of this slowly implode 😂

Thank goodness my Android shows full date and time for all SMSs
