Avianca Brazil Amigo status match

Can anyone tell me how I go about getting my Avianca Brasil FF number (*A Gold) added to an SAA flight I have coming up. My booking is actually through Qantas, but they are using SAA for the JNB -> DUR leg of my trip from BNE. I wanted to add my newly acquired *A Gold number to the SAA booking. I have no idea how to achieve this?

Cheers,

Do you have a seperate PNR for the SAA flight? If so, log in to manage my booking on the SAA website. If not, you might need to call QF to get it. They may not be willing to play ball, of course.

Want to book a flight with Thai from Perth to coughet, in the booking form it asks for frequent flyer number, there is NO mention of Avancia Amigo Brazil, is it the Avancia Airmiles? Also I want to credit points to Singapore, how can I get the * A Gold on the boarding card?? Thanks in Advance

Hi bobe,

Regarding your first question, O6 is a new program so it may not have been added to online booking systems. You can always add it at check-in or over the phone and they should be able to do it (by entering the airline code).

For your second question, if you have a read back through the previous comments in this thread, you'll find that there should be two FF fields that an agent has access to (FQTS and FQTV). One's for status, one's for crediting points. The issue is, not all agents seem to know this. See here:

I went through this a few weeks back on both SK and TK (see earlier reports in this thread). I had great trouble trying to get SK staff to find the different FQTV/FQTS fields. I even tried to talk them through it over the phone, but they said FQTS didn't exist. Not a lot I could say to that. So I left SQ in there.

More recently on a TK flight, they changed it over at check-in (I had hoped simply to FQTS, not FQTV) and that made lounge access/boarding really easy, but sure enough, those 500 miles credited to O6. So annoying because I did make it clear at check-in I wanted the flight credited to SQ.

That said, you just carry around your print-out of the temporary card. It takes a few more seconds for staff to realise what they're looking at, but I'm yet to be turned away.

The lesson: whatever you do, don't let them change it on your BP. It will credit to O6. And the temporary card is more than enough, and well within *G access rules.

Hi Bobe, Thai Airways Global Webpage and also the Thai Airways Australian webpage proceeds into the booking page (after selection of flights). Here, this is a drop down menu for FF Program. 06 is listed as Avianca Brasil (not as, "Avancia Amigo Brazil") as you posted. I can confirm that my Thai Airways Royal e-booking flight correctly credited to my 06 account without problem with Avianca Brasil selected, and my Amigo number in the next field ########. No need to enter "06" before your number, plus the field only accepts numbers, (not letters "A" or "0"). Good luck and cheers, PJ

Anyone applied for the match more recently? Trying to gather some data points on how likely a new application with a 2018 expiry will be....

Mine was matched a few weeks ago. Although I originally emailed them in October, but had to follow up multiple times with countless emails and phone calls.

Anyone got the physical card yet?
Got this response (in Portuguese) regarding my request for a physical card:
Dear kpc,

In response to your email, we inform you that your Diamond card will be sent soon.
We kindly ask you to access your registration and make sure that the mailing address is correct.
But if you want, you can enjoy the benefits of its category by entering the number on the reservation friend or print the card through the site. Simply access your account through the site www.avianca.com.br

Anyone got the physical card yet?
Got this response (in Portuguese) regarding my request for a physical card:

Three weeks since I was promised mine. Expecting 5 weeks at least; they appear to batch things.

Good to see they've agreed to send cards! I had given up on it, but this would be great.

Is it because you specifically requested it do you think?

I booked my my flights through Expedia and on there Frequent flyer drop down page it didn't have Advancia Brasil, so rang Thai airways to put the numbers in for me, told them my Amigo number and *A gold then told them to credit any miles/points to SIngapore airlines, that should be ok eh?

Programa AMIGO

Only got my match last friday, one day after I left for my HK and Taiwan holiday

Having SQ's number in there and waiving the O6 card should definitely work, but generally speaking, this would only get you the lounge access and you wouldn't be recognised as *G elsewhere on the system.

The proper way to do this is to have both numbers in the booking:

FQTV: SQ number (where the points go to)
FQTS - 06 number (where the status is read from)

Sadly, not many agents know how to handle this properly so the easier way to do this is to check-in with the 06 number, then to switch over to the SQ number at the lounge as you mentioned.

I've been successful with a status match to Gold too (from Qantas Gold).
I have no KF status, but an upcoming trip with two SQ sectors in each direction. In the Manage Booking screen, I'm able to set my frequent flyer program. I presume that sets both FQTV and FQTS at the same time? I want my earn to credit to KF but would like to use the Amigo status benefits. Is it still correct that I should leave my KF number in the booking and show my paper print out of the Amigo Gold card? I only ask as I'd hate for the Amigo number to be left in the booking for the second sector, or for the return flight.
Thanks.

Any updates on people getting a physical card? I'm looking to use it at a contract lounge later this year, and a physical card would probably make it smoother...

Neither. Not sure whether to bother with follow up email
