I was just about to come here to say that i got the update about the flight change too. Makes transiting via Mel much more tolerable now:lol:

You're flying a month before me so pls do a mini trip report.

Managed to snag 2 x F CDG-SYD on TG via the screenshot method. Received a confirmation email with a request to call them by 11am Colombia time or the reservation would auto-cancel. Surprising, as I had included my phone details and was expecting a call as per most of the experiences detailed here on the forum. Worth noting that there was only a four hour window between receiving the email and the supposed cut-off time.

Called the Bogota number, went straight through to an English speaking operator who conferenced in someone from the "payments department", and acted as interpreter. All done with the call in fifteen minutes or so.

2 pax = 130k miles and USD1808. From start to finish the process took about 30 hours. Happy with that! :)

Mid July. Heading over mid June in J on EY using AA miles, but booked those as soon as they were released.

Much the same thing with my booking a few days ago. Got an email, needed to pay before 3PM their time... about 24 hours window. It was for a TG booking.
I rang the US number about 10pm sydney time. Tried earlier Sydney time, but told to call back later.

My first ever LM booking- yay! 2 x KIX-BKK-BNE J 80K and US$101.48. Searched all sorts of routing to try to get F seats but gave up as it's impossible to find 2xF seats on the same flight. Anyway, this is to supplement my QF BNE-NRT J special so I'm happy.
I did the screen shot method and in less than 24 hrs received 2 separate emails for the 2 pax with requests to contact the Colombia service centre. Anyway, due to time difference, before I could call them, they rang me at close to midnight to finalise the payment, all up a very friendly and efficient process. Has anyone managed to associate their Avianca Brazil membership number with their award bookings?

On the TG site (I think.. from memory) you can change your membership details through Manage My Booking.

2 bookings for July 16 via screenshot method. MEL-xBKK-xZRH-AMS all in J TG (to BKK) & LX (unfortuntely LX pushed back their rollout of the new config by a week, so it will be the A340).

Return flight same route with just the flight AMS-ZRH on LX and the other flights TG. Also miss new J on TG461 by 2 days. Bugger! Hopefully, my waitlisted SG flights will eventuate.

Each flight 85,000 miles plus taxes of US $160 ish.

Send a screenshot request last night for a flight departing Monday night..any way of speeding up the return call?

I didn't get a return call for either of the flights I did above. Ticket came through with the request to call them by a certain time to pay points &/or taxes. Actually, the return flight, I didn't get the ticket overnight, so waited a couple of days, then re-sent my request for the flights yesterday and ticket received overnight. I called them this morning and paid.

A question for all you LM gurus. I have MUC-BKK-SYD ticketed in First with LM for my trip in June. The outbound MUC-BKK flight (#925) departs at 1425.

I now wish to add BRU-MUC flight LH2285 arriving MUC at 1340. That leaves me 45 minutes connection time which as I understand it, is sufficient for MUC (MCT is either 30 or 35 mins depending on terminals). I plan to be able to check in luggage all the way through to SYD and I assume that I will be considered as travelling in the shengen zone upon arrival in MUC.

Lifemiles shows availability in Business for the connecting shengen flight (LH2285), so I wanted to check the best email procedure to add that segment to my ticket (rather than purchasing a separate ticket for all the obvious reasons) and also that this request is viable considering its LH-TG, not LH-LH. I assume I just send them an email with all relevant info requesting above connection with a contact number to process to the additional taxes on CC?

Any pointers? Thanks

I would buy separate ticket. LM won't do mixed class screenshots. If you use Brussels airlines you should be able to interline luggage. Leave plenty of time though

So did the screenshot method for MEL-BKK-CAN 2 days ago and didn't get a reply. I called today and they insisted they had sent me an email, I asked could they just transfer me to the relevant depart or give me PNR so I could ticket etc, sorry sir not possible.

So as a result I have now booked MEL-BKK-CAN on TG/Shenzhen Airlines on Wednesday. At least it was a connecting flight!

if its ticketed you cant change origin and/or Destination---also I would avoid BRU as this Airport is not yet open and nobody can tell when it will be

It would be a USD150 change fee plus any additional taxes (or refund of taxes). That would be the minimum starting point if somehow there were to (a) let you change it and (b) change it to a mixed class. The most likely option would be cancellation (USD50) and rebook.

(c) as pointed out by kanada999 is an issue regarding BRU. Even though it's supposed to be open again now/soon, there could be delays and I'd probably want more than 45 mins. If you manage to get it all on the one ticket EU261 may not apply in the event of disruption given the nature of those disruptions (security related).

LX BKK-ZRH on July 16 shows new 777 not A340....certainly hope so as i'll be doing LX ZRH-BKK on July 18 and wanting to check out new 777 J product

Just redeemed 2x J TG PER-BKK-HAN beginning of July 80K points and US$169.56. Booked through the website with absolutely no dramas — didn't even have to call my bank to make sure the CC went through.

For school holidays no less! Now I just have to work out how to get home.
