SIN-MEL in july SQ J. Unfortunately it will be overnight on SQ 237's old J seats but that might be the reason why those flights are the only ones available around the dates we need... so beggars can't be choosers (#firstworldproblems)

now to have do the dreaded transfer int-dom transfer to get back to adelaide.

at least we managed to find tickets with QFF to go ADL-MEL-SIN QF all the way so that is much more tolerable... the mel-sin is in business suite as well so that'll be fun!

When you say dreaded... so you mean going up escalator? This isn't SYD/BNE/PER we're talking about!

lol.
our QF flight ADL-MEL-SIN is fine no complaints but the return is on separate tickets so we will have to do SQ overnight in old style J then pick up bags and do int-dom transfer in melbourne to another airline which we haven't booked... just a hassle without the interline baggage.. having said that i don't remember when we last did a int-dom transfer in melbourne - much easier than the horrible one in Syd??

About as easy as Adelaide.

I remember the first time I transferred SYD... It baffles my mind that I had to get on train/bus??

The fact I had to also pay for that makes me really avoid SYD if I can. Much prefer to transfer at ADL if I can't get direct to MEL.

Mrs coolkid's sister just missed her flight SIN-MEL. She misread her itin and missed the flight. it was 1230 AM on 22/2/16 and she thought it was 1230am tonight... lol

she didnt even realise until she was arranging a ride from mel airport and the driver asked her if she was on the plane/texting her from the plane.

anyway popped onto LM website and found a nice replacement for 23/2/16 SQ 237 - booked for 50-50 copay to save miles for next time.

went straight onto SQ mobile website to choose seats and found out it's on the 77W..................... lucky .... i'm so damn jealous... we booked the exact same flight in July and the seat map is the old 2-2-2.

What would interline baggage do for you? You still have to collect your baggage in MEL, clear immigration & customs & take your bags to check in either case (ie no difference whatsoever).

So the other flights was just lost?

I was thinking the same... but wasn't there some airline (maybe LM) that allowed cancellations 24hours after departure time. I always thought that was strange but I remember seeing something about it somewhere...

I believe it is possible to cancel after the flight-not sure of the time limit though

flight was with scoot . so a big upgrade for her. not sure what the policy is with scoot and no show but i suspect it will be a forfeited ticket.. anyone know?

Ah I thought she'd missed a LM ticketed flight! Good luck getting anything from Scoot!

NRT-SIN-BNE on NH F connecting SQ J. All for 21k LM plus US$507.63.

This is to complete my booking with the QF glitch earlier today BNE-NRT at 24K QFF points, which I couldn't find a return flight on the date I need.

You might want to check the aircraft operating SQ237. I'm booked on 238 (via LM) in August and received an email 5 minutes ago saying the operating aircraft has changed to a 777-300ER (was 777-300) with new config due to a seasonal schedule change.

So I've lucked in at this stage. My TG flight BKK-MEL (booked via LM) has changed to the A350 and my SQ flight MEL-SIN has changed to new J.

So, if you have booked the SIN-MEL 237 (which is always available on LM) you may find it's changed aircraft for the Northern Summer.
