What's the date for the NH/UA option?

Not sure what's going on... checking the UA website, for 28 May, the only flights from tokyo to hnl on United are operated by a 777-200 with the highest cabin being businessfirst, no GlobalFirst is offered.

Booked via Screenshot method - Would have preferred to get CA direct there but hey ho. Took about 5 days to get the call back over the Christmas but no issues whatsoever.

SIN-DEL-FCO booked via the website on AI, then AMS-VIE-BKK-PER booked via screenshot method on OS and TG for Easter time. 9.5h layover in BKK. Screenshot method worked almost perfectly; sent a polite email listing flights and passenger details with screenshots, they emailed me an itinerary overnight then called me the following night at 9:30pm Perth time for payment over the phone with a lovely and well spoken gentleman names Alessandro from a Florida number. Tickets emailed to me within the hour.

The only slightly unexpected hitch was that using the points + pay method ended up costing me more than I expected because I was charged the full US$30 per 1000points for the points i bought instead of the reduced price given by the slider bar on the website I used on a dummy booking to estimate ($22). I didn't question it because I thought the agent was telling me the total price inc taxes etc which sounded about right, but it turned out the taxes were on top of the amount he had said when I got my email receipt. Whether that was correct or not I'm not too upset about it since I got the Europe-Aus tickets I was after without having to waste a positioning flight ex-asia through Krisflyer like I usually do.

LM Miles were due to expire...so I not-very-hopefully looked for an Australia-US J redemption....

Was quite chuffed to find NH SYD-HND/NRT-ORD available on my dates.... 80000 plus taxes... (sorry cant remember how much... )

Another bit of luck on that trip BTW...also got ABQ-PHX-LAX-MEL-CBR in J with AA miles...

PER-BKKx-NRT/HND-ISG (last one may need a google ). 2x Pax, the PER-BKK and BKK-NRT legs in J on TG, the domestic leg in Y on ANA. December 2016.

All done as one booking on the engine.

80k points and $163.64 USD in taxes and fees. Brief moment of panic as I realised I had forgotten to put my girlfriends middle name on the booking. Much relief as I searched 'middle name' on AFF and realised it wasn't necessary. That had me sweating.

So mixed class is a go!

Curiously, the PER-BKK-NRT in J was not available to book on its own. But this routing was. A search for PER-NRT would give you PER-SIN-PVG-NRT with the first two legs in Y.
