Booked my second ever LM redemption yesterday;

2 pax CDG-xSIN-ICN SQ J 135,000 + $309

For travel in last week of March 2014.

I think this will be a good addition to my travel tools.Have made 2 bookings so far.
SYD-BKK TG F in December. As noted before I got this award before it is available on the TG site.Only problem was Amex denying payment as perceived fraud.Avianca were hopeless and couldn't fix it.So waited 3 days until the flights went back into inventory and rebooked after ringing Amex.
Second-RGN-SIN. SQ J.January 2015.
Now this cant be booked as a one way on the SQ website.Nor indeed on the TG website.Has to be purchased in Myanmar I found out.TG though did price it and the 2 awards were ~$400 cheaper than the TG price but with a direct flight saving 5 hours in transit.
So it certainly has worked for us so far.We have our E tickets and seat numbers.

Just booked TG J CDG-BKK-MEL for early Jan 2015. Compliments the TG F SYD-BKK-LHR I booked last month for pre Xmas.

Will spend the saving on UK APD on a weekend in Paris!

As with the previous reservation...ticket numbers were issued instantaneously.

That is a good one, especially on SQ J
I see you did all miles, no cash redemption.
I find "buying" miles at 1.5 cents during such purchases is a good way to buy more miles when no promotion is on, and without the annual cap on buying miles hitting you.

Just booked my first redemption with LM last night. A mate has wanted to go to the Sing GP for a while now so I got myself on a very simple:
MEL - SIN - MEL on SQ in Y - 28K points + $600 (cash + taxes).

PNR was sent immediately and I can see this on CMT as confirmed and SQ has the booking but I don't see the ticket numbers and in fact on the SQ Manage my booking section it says that the flights are not ticketed and need to be done before 9 Feb.

My question is whether this is a case of waiting or do I need to follow up with LM?

Ticketing could take 48 hours even under normal circumstances so you wait for now.

I'm struggling to see the value in this redemption though...total cost is USD1000+...SQ is selling fares for AUD1200 ish about that time...unless you want to offload some LM.

Thx bcworld - That eases my concerns a bit.

As for the redemption - Yep not my best work I must say but I wanted to dip my toe in LM and haven't made a redemption since joining up. I wanted to fly the least amount of time as well as I'll be flying out Friday and back in on Monday. With some more time I would have done J with TG/SQ but it was just too much time in the air

Just booked FRA-ZRH-SIN-PER with the FRA-ZRH leg on LX and the remainder SQ, all in J.

37k miles and ~$900 in cash.

Flight is on the 12th hence the SQ J to PER.

Yeah I don't know why you wouldn't go J even if it means TG via BKK if its outside the 14 day window!

That seems really cheap? Perth is same as the rest of Australia yes?

FRA-NRT NH F
NRT-HNL UA F

72.5K miles and $138.86

Nice one, that's approx. half way round the world in miles distance ;) I was contemplating something similar with OZ CDG-xICN-HNL but I chickened out (due to time constraints) ;) Ended up booking CDG-xSIN-ICN instead.

I'm new to this thread.
I've booked many routes but the most recent one I booked today JFK-FRA LH F for 25k+cash
