I've always used my 28 degree MC. Never had any problems. Just logged in to my 28 degree account and it shows $1.18 debit, which I assume is a test debit. Still not going through. Plenty of credit. No requests coming through from 28 degree to confirm transaction. :evil:

Went through on my Amex @ extra ~3%. Purchased 60,000 received 135,000. A little upset that it didn't go through on the 28 degree card. All previous purchases have gone through without issue on 28 degree. Notified by Amex suspected fraud, but I authorised.

Calculates at ~ 0.18 which is 0.01 less than without the extra bonus.

Avianca have a special on where you get a cyber monday extra bonus on miles

I'm buying 30K of miles but get 37.5K as bonus

Drops the cost to $14.66 per 1000 points

So if you're hesitating to top up now might be the time to bite the bullet

For some reason this Monday special is open to ones who fully maxed out before! I've already purchased 150k in the previous promotion before the price rise so I wasn't allowed to buy anymore miles prior to today. Then I tried my luck, and up to 30000 miles I seem to be ok! So got an extra 37.5k as above!

Damn good bonus on the promo.

Shows i could buy up to 65k more miles on top of the 45k ive already bought this promo and get 81.5k bonus.

Just cant justify it for the next years travel unfortunately.

Edit. Just bought 20k more. I cant turn down a bargain my intention was J one way F one way on a trip to Asia, so now its F both ways. Will be finding the donate/Paid membership for this forum when i get to work bc its been an absolute eye opener for me..sitting in cattle class thinking everyone in J or F was loaded..how wrong was i

i just jumped on lifemiles after reading about the dec 1 special, and am getting weird calc of cost when attempting to purchase 44,000 miles = $3267 whats that about?

And i to make it even more mind numbing... i was logged in on the weekend, checking how much of my annual allocation i had left to use for the year, and i thought i was sure website allowed me to purchase 50,000. Today max is 44,000?!

hmmm... love the value.... but it seems to be getting dodgier all the time...

I already purchased 75,000 during the september promo, which means my account is 150,000 for the year. It looks like this promo maxes out at 44,000 to purchase with a 55,000 bonus for me.

absolutely! The extra cyber monday in fact does a nice job of off-setting the recent currency plunge.

before cyber monday it is possible to get asia return for AUD1500 (business class on singapore airlines). Even better value now.

I get the same. Attempt to purchase 44,000 - it says the bonus is 55,000 - however at the checkout it looks like it wants to charge for the 99,000. There goes the value

Looks like 30,000 is the sweet spot. Anything more, and you get charged for the standard + bonus miles.

Not always.I just bought 60000 + the 75000 bonus for the cost of 60000-$US1980.
