thanks for the update. I have had no response from my email to them.

i wonder if the same applies to sq however? if they can see both flights they'll ticket?

I might have to test the TG thing... except... it's TG. not really appealing I'd almost rather not go.

Maybe it's my lack of pointy end travel, but I found TG to be adequate. Food was good (I did pre book all my meals though)

I will say the A340 was a bit lacking in comfort, but the 747 was more than comfy enough.

FWIW I've found MEL-SIN-BKK-KUL next week in J. On SQ/TG?LH and Egypt Air...

I shall keep playing around.

I found that option...but it failed at the select flights stage.

This aircraft is not operating MEL for the W14 timetable...it's back to the old product...it will probably pop up occasionally though.

Allegedly it will be back on TG461/2 for the S15 timetable.

I'm still not entirely clear as to what the new issue with SQ J long haul is... a friend had no difficulty booking SIN-LAX in J yesterday.

Thanks for your tip. This maybe good and bad news for us. I did a dummy search and SQ11/12 is indeed still available through LM. I checked some random dates 2015, and I found it's available roughly once a week. Tues ex-NRT, Wed ex-LAX. But SIN to Europe is still zippo

So the good news is, SQ long haul is still available to LM.

Bad news is, if that is still available, then it's unlikely to be LM's IT issue, but more likely to be SQ blocking issue. In fact even for SQ11/12, it used to be twice a week on Tues and Wed ex-NRT/Wed and Thurs ex LAX if far in advance, so even that they seem to cut down. SQ has known to be quite stingy to their *A partners.

Yes, I agree sometimes SQ may have a glitch on their side too and it may all well be fixed later. We can always hope.

I was getting desperate so have just booked MEL-BKK for Saturday and will do cash fare into CAN. Just need to work out how to get home on the 19th.. this is going to be fun.

Dear Mel-T... award tickets are booked in X, I, and O class... revenue seat availability doesn't indicate award availability... LM doesn't guarantee the availability of any awards... but we have escalated your concerns to see if there is a problem... btw, don't forget you can buy another 150K miles in our current promo.

Dear LM .... I appreciate the difference between awards and revenue... as of 5 December all SQ blocked (14 day window) and all TG connections blocked... here are some specific dates where the connections are available individually but not as a through ticket (gave some specific dates and connections).

So - will wait and see.

Yes you can book one ways therefore able to change returns plus is star and not OW therefore more flts avail.
also oz to Asia great rates.

No. In most airlines in the Star Alliance, X is reward Economy, I is reward Business and O is reward First.

it is a glitch... using the multicity tool I could get results for TG/TG (the second flight leaving just after midnight, so 'bookable' using the multicity tool), but unfortunately priced as two separate awards.

The availability is there - either sector by sector on LM, or on United as a single award... just something screwy with the LM booking engine.

SQ may well have withdrawn a whole bunch of seats given the $3500 fare deal.

Yes, this would certainly seem like a viable explanation, they have done this in the past when SQ became widely available by mistake.
