re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

That spreadsheet is a good tool and i suppose we need to use it more often for these sorts of things... Kill the chat and send it straight there/update it... Lesson for the future...

Lets hope the deal sticks around for a bit still...

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

This thread has been so ridiculously open about many of the tricks it is no wonder a blogger picked it up. It was not only the one usual suspect doing it either
Yes, though from the train of events it was not actually here where they picked this up but from FFU or other such event in the US, and where they were specifically asked to keep it secret. The presence of this site only emerged as an excuse after the event, i.e. most people who dont have a commercial interest in spilling the beans are quite happy to keep the information tight.

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

question irrelevant now...

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

stupid bloody site... it was down for four hours between 1500 & 1900 - it's finding inventory but when you click continue to find out the taxes, it fails.. (tried various ports/classes & carriers) - very straight forward itinerary

grrr

It is all better now. I have just booked my SIN-FRA with no dramas.

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

i think someone mentioned it on the previous pages, the system will allow one way SYD > BKK F with TG & BKK to LHR F on TG as two separate legs but it won't let me marry them together for one itinerary.

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

I see SQ26 sin-fra having only one seat available when I need two ....... ahhhh, houston we have a problem :(

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

I'll be there next month Jess. Few months too late!
What airline you flying?

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

i noticed there's a new search agent interface... much more fluid - back end is still rubbish :D

edit: now it's disappeared... lol

It's risky but you could try going through to the payment page where you should get the booking reference and then exit without actually paying. Then after 72 hours that seat should free up again and, perhaps, an additional one. Of course, you risk losing the seat that's available!

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

hopefully someone can provide some advice ...

i've bought 2x TG F - SYD/LHR but i actually need another ticket. F SYD to BKK & BKK to LHR has opened up as two individual sectors on the exact same flight numbers and times as the other two tickets i've bought. However, if I put SYD/LHR and even force TG, it says sold out despite being available individually... is it a case of wait a few days or will the only way to secure those seats be via booking as two separate legs thus spending more $$ ie: 150pts vs 105pts?

Can you find a date in the future when TG is available SYD/BKK/LHR in the one hit then book that then call up LM and see if they'll change it foc to the actual dates you want.

Ask them to waive any change fee because you couldn't do it online despite both flights having availability.

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

the following day has availability as one itinerary - is this method tested and tried? reason i ask is i wasnt sure whether the call centre would have the option to bridge the tickets if it wasn't seen online...

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

In February I will be visiting FRA-CDG-MXP-FCO with a friend.

Drinks in Paris, anyone?

Possibly, if known far enough ahead it's easy enough for us Londoners to do a day trip.......

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

In Y? As if...

Isn't it cheaper for a revenue ticket?
15,000 pts each @ $15/1,000 + fees = about $350. Defy anyone to do better than that.

Incidentally, my friend doesn't know that we are coming home in F to make up for it. Shhh. ;)
