re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

I will bear that in mind with the lounge and buggy , although I don't mind stretching the legs if we are unable to use the buggy.
I have had a look at the seats in J you recommended they will be an issue as the youngest is 11yo so maybe row 23 with a window will suit , this is our first time as a family travelling in business and first cannot wait :p

Last time I arrived it was about a 5 minute buggy ride.. so it's quite a walk!

I know this has been answered to death :( but 1. is it easy to cancel an award booking prior to flying and 2. what refund would I get back?

I haven't booked yet but let's say my award is 60,000 miles outright plus taxes, I would theoretically get 60K back and most of the taxes right?

And say the same award but booked as 40,000 miles + $400 plus taxes, what would I get back then?

Booked a simple SIN-MEL in J on the SQ A380 for my partner's parents yesterday. 40k points plus about A$960 for the 2 seats. All ticketed by this morning.

Shouldn't it have been 47.5K points each one-way?

It was a points + cash redemption.

My mistake though...it was actually 45k + A$960 for the 2 seats.

Wacky Routing.jpg

How about this for a wacky routing lifemiles has spat out, a long way to go to get home from Japan, but bloody cheap!

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

Can you get the same routing in J?

Nah, I am using one of these going over in economy and throwing away the last leg (works well with change of airports required). But now looking to come back and flights in February (economy and business) are pretty scarce so might have to suck it up and pay full price!

Got it! Well, almost. I can get the origin and destination, routing via HND and SIN/BKK/etc, but not LAX. I actually got it to price it via LAX (priced as reported above), but now the web site does not want to play anymore :-(

It would be great if you can get the UA 787 NRT-LAX. It would make whY somehow bearable, but then again, it is UA...

Enjoy the lonnnnnnnng Y ride :D

Haha, oh I am definitely not doing this, the one I have booked is through Asia. It would be a good deal to the states though if you could get it to price in the opposite direction!

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

does anyone have experience with LH F availability around christmas/NYE? I can see availability on some routes T-14. Was wondering if that would work around the peak periods...
