I was informed by Bankwest that my card needs to be cancelled as it's been 11 days since the email, and they fear it was lost in the post or someone's taken it (I'm away often). With my luck, the cancelled card will be in the mail tomorrow. <rolleyes>

Also, although my postal address is my office (so that reception can receive it and keep it save while I'm away), the card was sent to my home address (where I receive virtually no mail). I wasn't given that piece of information until today (I was told the reason is that it's a new card) and had no idea that's the practice. Just FYI.

I received my replacement card on Monday (after 16 days). It was supposed to go to a branch here in Perth, where I was to pick it up. Do I have to say that it arrived to my office?

I'm just glad it's finally here, given that a lot of other people are still trying to get theirs. Good luck!

I'm a full-time uni student, but with some assets that generate a good income. Will be in a better situation when I graduate, but in the meantime enough to have a perfect credit rating and good lifestyle. Frustrating!

I hit my minimum spend this weekend so I thought I’d check the T&Cs and realised that I must not have completely taken in the context initially:

Bonus Qantas Points will only be transferred to your account within the month after the end of the 3 month period from account opening.

Looks like my account was opened 4 May, therefore third statement would be issued early August and points credited after that for transfer sometime between early August and early September.

Let’s hope this isn’t the actual practice and we can get them sooner rather than later…

Will be reaching the minimum spend on June 5th (hotel payment). Would need to wait till maby August at the latest.

My partner & I applied tonight (31st May) and I noticed that the points offer has been extended to June 7.

Both of us got a $12K limit (seems to be a rather popular limit). Good to know we can step up to the world card if desired.

Hello All,

I was wondering - has anyone received their bonus points yet? I have had my card open for over 3 months now and had spent the $2500 in the space of 3 weeks. Yet no points at all.

I'm on exactly 3 months, but I noted that the first statement did not arrive for about 6 weeks after first use. I have just rec'd the first points. I don't expect the bonus points until maybe the next statement or even the one after at this rate. Perhaps you could on-line chat with them and ask them why they are so slow transferring points.

I did just get a letter stating changes to the CC travel insurance now with Alliance.

So you should be getting them on the next statement. Keep us informed how it goes so we know how on top of it we need to be.

Op states "no points at all". That's a bit of a worry.

Just asked the BW on-line chat what the points earn is on Qantas, they said .75 points per $1 spent. So, if it's the same as everything else, what's the point of calling it a QF card, apart from the sign up bonus?

BTW, just over 3 months since the first spend and only rec'd the first statement's points a few days ago.

Got my points today :D:

Awesome!

I just got my spend points come through, hopefully I'll see the bonus points next month.

3 months after opening my account, the points appeared on my latest statement. Although they haven't yet transferred to Qantas. Will be cancelling as soon as they do after the very poor experience in applying for this card.

Does BW cards generally accrue points for ATO payments? It's that season again and I'm looking for a new card... :)

Applied for my card in March I can see them in my Bankwest account including the bonus, but still to transfer to QFF.

Have spoken to them twice already and keep getting told, next month they will transfer....

You may want to tell them about AMEX 110K points posting within days, and how pathetic BW is. How about going onto their live chat and getting it in writing there. I used that tactic when upgrading to the World card for no extra fee till 2017.

2 weeks later, they still haven't transferred.
