BankWest giving me the run around. Claiming that they've transferred the points and that it's all Qantas fault that they haven't been credited.

Just another reason to add to the list when I cancel.

They are now claiming that points take up to 21 days to be credited by Qantas once bankwest transfers them.

How do you chat with Bankwest? I can't seem to be able to find the option on the website.

Go to bankwest's homepage and within a couple of seconds a chat window should open. If it doesn't, look at everyday banking accounts (personal-> everyday accounts) and a chat button will appear down the bottom of the webpage.

Fairly sure mine didn't take this long.

I'm sure they've stuffed up. But I'll wait the 21 days and then hammer them if the points aren't there. The first thing I'll be doing is demanding a full refund of the annual fee.

After logging in to online banking it's at the bottom centre of the screen too. Found this very handy with answering a question just now.

The problem with the online banking chat button, is that it disappears as soon as you click on something else.

It's like BW think that, if you don't want to chat when you first arrive, then you will never want to.

Still getting the run around re awarding my points. I've never received any points (including the 50,000 bonus) since opening the account in April.

Have sent 4 emails this week and have asked for the matter to be escalated to supervisor level.

All of this just keeps strengthening the case I have for cancelling the card and seeking a full refund of the annual fee.

Still no points. Sent a registered letter to them today giving them 14 days to credit the missing points or the matter is referred to the FSO.

So disappointing...

I was advised my bonus points will sweep over this cycle (next few days), will be very frustrating if they don't.

2 days later I get an email apologising for the delay and saying that the points have now posted. Indeed they have. Ridiculous amount of effort required to get them to simply do what they should have done months ago.

Account now cancelled.

sent them a mail today as well querying my 50k points. They seemed to show on my last statement but have not appeared at Qantas.

Same problem I had. Keep pressing them.

Monthly points from BW should be in on Monday or Tuesday. Usually 5th of each month.

Points transferred over this morning. Glad that's over...

Applied 16th April
Received Card 5th May
Min. Spend Achieved 24th May
Bonus Points Credited 7th September

Same here, whole process was a pain. It would have to be a good deal to make me sign up with them again!! Hours on hold on the phone, what a waste of time.

I have terrific service from BW, and I guess I was lucky right from the beginning. I send them secure messages and get good replies. I originally applied by phone and whenever I have anything tricky, I email the original agent who is one of the best people I have ever dealt with. He calls me back. I also negotiated to get a good deal upgrading to the World card. I did have to wait for the original points to be crediited, but many banks will say '8 weeks' or whatever, and not pay the points in till the payment after that '8 weeks'.

I just hung up on a call, and he is going to arrange a Transaction Account so that I can pay Bpay and get points. Plus, for very $100 balance in that account at the end of the calender month, I will earn 12 points per $1.

Sorry to hear about other people's woes.

Wish I could say the same about BW, still no points despite constant promises for 3 months
