Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

If you have ever held the account EVER don’t bother

Thanks for pointing this out, looks like I'll miss out on this one. Would have been nice to get some points from them again. I can't even use any of my family as I signed them all up last time.

"Or if you have previously held a bankwest trsnsaction account" quoted directly after your reply / quote.

deejo77 previously drew attention to the clause about if you ever previously held a Bankwest Qantas Transaction Account. I additionally drew attention to the clause about if you already hold any other Bankwest transaction account or if you have closed such an account in the past 30 days.

It is not clear what you are trying to draw attention to but it has probably already been stated.

Other than on OzB, I see no mention of the 10k bonus on the Bankwest website. Where is it hiding?

Since the auto 1c payment departure, I can't really see much point in this. 10k bonus, big deal. 5 points per transaction … only good if you make lot's of small payments (which I personally don't). Am I missing something else?

I reckon $12 for 10k points is not a bad deal. Maybe I could knock that down to $6 to show I am abiding by the spirit of the deal. Or, need to work out the exact date for the deposit/withdraw/redeposit.

Still seems a little strange that the only place the bonus points are mentioned are buried in a legal document and not advertised on the main page.

I had an online chat with a Bankwest rep who confirmed the 10000 points deal was unadvertised but valid so I went ahead
and opened an account as my current transaction account was doing zero for me. It was a painless procedure so we will wait
and see if all goes smoothly!

Easy pickings. Open an account fulfil the criteria by putting required cash in for 2 months then buy 10 x $1 chocolates from woollies get 10K points then close the account.
