Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

It would take 5 hours & 30 minutes to do 10 payments. No wonder it's working.

As I posted before. I believe the rule is, a payment is only accepted, if there are no more than 9 payments (including rejected payment attempts) in the previous 3 hours.

So for every payment there would be only 5 other payments in the previous 3 hours.

Nope - in my initial testing - the lockout was definitely 3 hours from the last payment, not necessarily 10 payments "within" 3 hours.

(And I allowed for failed payments).

But yes - I know that doesn't explain my current results.

Does anyone use Virgin Mobile for this? Seemed to take the 50 transactions yesterday, however how only 5 are showing as preauthorised

For those that use iMacros and on one particular computer only, you can even skip all programming and do the macro to follow mouse clicks. This way, it avoids the problem of there being scripting issues on any website.

Technically if you program this right, you should be able to automate any payment sequence, even if it is a multi page sequence.

One tip if following this approach: Make sure you embed a fix screen size command prior to every action that requires button clicking. I found that iMacro sometimes fails to adjust the screen size properly (or some other thing on my computer to resize the macro window) and the macro would click on random locations.

I've only been at this a week and just received my first statement. Received far fewer points than expected.
The issue is that multiple days transactions are listed on the statement as occurring on one day - presumably this is because they are initially listed as 'authorisation only' and at some point they are authorised? This is paying $0.01 on Telstra.
Anyone else have this issue? Got any advice?

Transaction you physically make will not appear until the next day. Transaction made on a Friday will appear on the next Monday. Transactions made on Saturday and Sunday will appear on Tuesday. As an example for November (pts credited a couple of days ago) if you did 50 transactions each day you would get credited with points for transactions made on 1 - 27 Nov plus 30 - 31 Oct for a total of 7,250pts. 28 - 30 Nov will be given to you in December (credited in 1st week of January).

Hope me that makes sense.

Have just started reading this thread last week and have signed myself up, convinced the wife to do so as well...
I've got an Optus mobile account, but nothing on Telstra so will be looking to optimise my use with Optus and will have a go and using iMacro for payments. Lots of you seem to have gotten the hang of it, so I'm sure that I'll get some help if needed.

is anyone running imacro with Virgin payments?
I can't seem to get it to work with the pop up payment window... so have been putting through payments manually...

I tried a few, but the one I'm using now is Mouse Recorder Premium Mouse Recorder - Macro Recorder - Windows Automation

There were a few things I really liked about this one - it made it really easy to edit the resulting macro and there is a "wait for pixel colour" feature that I've been using to make sure the page is fully loaded. You need to add this in at the edit stage after you've recorded your macro.

thanks for the info jason_c

which program are you using?

i have an iMacro that works pretty well with virgin mobile but i can't PM you. guess i should lurk a little less
