Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Is there a way to create a sticky post somewhere, that could show the minimum payment amounts at service providers online portals.

i.e.

Telstra 1¢
Optus 1¢/$1?
Yarra Valley Water $1
Citylink 1¢?

rather than having to trawl through the last 90 pages of posts (and then finding that the information is out of date)?

If someone knows of a quick way to search for this information please enlighten me.

Does citilink (I'm assuming we're talking about the Melbourne toll roads) work ok with 1c transactions? Could be worth opening one up.

Today, I rocked up to the 'second nearest Coles' ...
They didn't have a 'Cards Only' self-serve machine.
So I didn't bother attempting the '98' I was going to.
Close to where I work, there is a Coles Express, and that's where I'll try the '98' transactions.

In response to "am I sure ..."

Yes. My online account tells me the store location, and each transaction amount.
I have noted, that over the weekends, the 'pending' amounts will show as the next business day.
But after processing, they show as the correct day of the transactions.

I always do the same figure.
IE., if I'm buying something for $1.00 I'll do 50 x $0.02 transactions. $2.00 = $0.04 etc. etc.
I may do the final transaction on another card, if there is a larger figure - say $20. left. I'll then get 10 QFFP on my QCash card.

So, I'm sure that I've been credited with up to 66 transactions on the one BW debit card, in the one 24 hr. period ( so far ).

I've got my two cards ( 96 - 100 transactions ) down to less than ten minutes at a Coles self-service ( cards only ) machine.
Can't work out the 'macro' thing, but then don't have a Telstra or Optus bill in my name either ...

Today I was at Coles, two of us using card only machine doing the 1 cent thing. Then "help" came and slowed the process by asking questions, pressing buttons, etc. Then this mouse or cat face (Halloween) girl got really into it, then she called the Manager. All in all we got about 60 transactions thru in 25 minutes. (Normally we manage 100 in less than 10 min.) On top of all this, the Manager threatened to call Security and told us we are banned from shopping here! Even thou there's still empty machine not being used.

Ha outstanding! I do always find I make too much of a scene at the self checkouts doing it so gave up on that idea pretty quickly.

Always amazes me how low end retail "managers" are always on the biggest power trips!

That's hilarious

Haven't shopped at Coles in a while so can't comment on any recent self-checkout experiences, whenever I've shopped there I do about 20-30 then stop, don't want to be asked questions :p.

However, recently I've noticed that whenever I'm doing Paywave transactions that I'm getting an instant approval (when I mean instant, I really mean instant). I've performed a transaction at Woolworths last night ($67), 7-11 ($2) and maccas ($10.45) today and these transactions have yet to appear through my account, not even as a pre-authorisation! They'll eventually come through but find it strange that they haven't appeared yet.

Optus transactions still come through as pre-authorisations until they are settled the following day.

Are you a Wesfarmers shareholder? I would say that as part owner I have decided that I can continue to shop here.

Yep. I've had that ( "I'm going to call the manager!" )
Today, I got asked for ID !!
Attendant said, she is sus of me using 'pay wave', and I might be using someone else's card !!
She wanted to see my DL !
Anyway, I think the 20 - 25 per session might be the way to go.
If it's busy, I've done that, then quickly move out of the store, and put what I purchased in the car - then return again.

Means they aren't done with authorisation.

Also means the 50 trans limit will probably not apply.

Got my card yesterday.

I cant get telstra to work.

getting this
"An unexpected error has occurred. If you're a BigPond customer, you may like to try My BigPond to manage your services.

all the time with a time delay built in too, what is the solution?

No idea.

I am getting the same error.

I don't think you have a right to tie up the checkouts when other people are waiting for this exercise.

But they said another one was free the whole time (didn't he/she? Could be wrong there). Depends how crowded the place is, but as long as there is always 1 free machine, I see no issue with it.

Sure were, one card plus 3 others were free, pointed out and he said these can be busy anytime! Typical of these young guns, a little power got to his head.

at the moment every day I am just plugging in the pay my bill on the telstra website then on the confirmation "thank you for your payment" screen manually hitting F5 another 49 times, takes about 2 minutes a day. Easy.

Havent quite got the macro working yet, but the above sure seems easier than going to coles like some other posters.

helps if you have a telstra account

Neon - thanks for that tip. Knowing you can hit refresh means we can use the same auth details more than once. Probably means nothing to you but will help with my scripting.

I had a bad month compared to last month. Hit 18,000 points combined. Only did 3928 transactions compared to the 6000 odd I should have done. I'll need to work on my script for next month.

First theory for the huge points last month was a bust, will try the second theory I have this month.

I have setup imacro now to just:

REFRESH
WAIT SECONDS=6
REFRESH
WAIT SECONDS=6

That x 49 in one macro.

So basically every day I just go in, fill out the details once and make one payment, then hit play on the macro.

I am getting limited to 50 transactions a day on the platinum ($4000 deposit per month card) is that correct?
