Best seats economy A380?

I have 32 A&B picked on QF1 next week but am a bit concerned about the leg room. I sat in 23K on QF24 SYD-BKK and my legs were a bit constrained. Is the leg room on 32A&B similar or is it a bit more roomy? FYI we are both 6 feet tall.
32A/B have a bulkhead and so I wouldn't say it had extra leg room.

I believe there's an additional few critical cm between most other QF bulkhead seats and 23ABJK on a 333.

Weighing things this weekend I deliberately selected 23K on a day flight (watched three movies) but selected 24 for the overnight flight on the return.

Ok Have selected 32J from LHR to DXB then have stayed in 66D from DXB to MEL this should give me a good comparison

Thank you everyone

Hi thank you for your reply

My Concern here is legroom being a bulkhead seat With 66D there is a lot of space enough for me to fully stretch out my legs . Is this the same on 32? I am only 5 foot 8 :D

5 foot 8, you'll fit in an overhead locker!

Jokes aside - you'll be perfectly fine in this seat. People 5"11 + might struggle though would be my guess.

Hmmm - trying to make a decision here. I'm flying QF SYD - LAX in December on the A380 and had originally chose 35K on the upper deck - for reasons being extra legroom (exit row) and of course the fact that it is the upper deck (not flown on the A380 before). However I see from earlier posts in this thread that there is no window, which is also a very enjoyable part of flying for me. Of course every other seat is now taken on the upper deck.

I've read in this thread that 66A is also a good exit row seat and it is available on the day I am travelling. In the opinion of people that have tried both setas - would you stick with 35K as it is the upper deck, or go with 66A?

Be interested to hear your thoughts.

There is avery very small window, if you really lean forward and standup you can see out of it :)

UD pax gets to exit before LD ones.

With LAX arrival, that's important to many people.

I'd rate that well above the window issue.

So, 35K would be my choice.

Recently sat in the Upper Deck economy section Sydney-Hong Kong-Sydney. Very good... and the exit row seats would've been even better!

I had 32K with a 32J WP shadow on a recent SYD-HKG... very nice seat/s. Reasonable amount of room to stretch out in front of the bulkhead (I'm at 6ft), but probably they are still better suited for the day-time as opposed to the night-time flight, where I'd like to have been able to stretch right out (like in 35A/B or 35J/K) or under another chair. Service was fast and trays collected promptly in the mini-cabin. I liked that I had the side compartment for various bits and peices, and the only issue was one I've seemed to cop a bit lately, which was that the headphone jack was a bit dodgy in 32K (one side of the audio kept going on and off - had to hold the jack in one exact place to work), and so I had to move to 32J for movie watching.

Cheers.

It also depends on how many are in your travel party. Flying solo offers different preferences to flying as a couple.

I'd probably take 35K over 66A and certainly would take it over 66K.

What's the big difference between 66A and 66K? I can only think of differences during meal service for left vs right handed people.

Access to Crew rest. Drove me nuts on QF10 last Thursday. Door constantly opening and two crew members appeared to be required every time. One to go in and the other to secure the door .

Funny you're mentioning this. I've been woken up by the crew opening that door so many times and flights after flights I would keep selecting seat 66J or 66K. I must be suffering from a rare mental illness that precludes me from selecting seats on the left side of planes...
I will try 66A next time UD Y is full.

Hi Folks

32 JK (AB) vs 35 JK (exit rows) for an overnight flight.

? worth the $90 (x2) for better sleep or 32 AB/JK is acceptable.

Your advice ?

Thanks in advance.

32K with a WP shadow is very nice, not sure I like the refurb, cabin baggage stowage space is at a premium given the number of exit and bulkhead seats. The service is also interesting with Y being served before Y+, had a light Y load so toilets were not busy and it was an easy trip down the stairs to the refreshment bar.

This is picture from upstairs on QF's A380. I paid for the exit row on the DXB-SYD leg after EK operated MAN-DXB flight (EK20/QF8020) and the $90 was worth it for legroom alone. Also the economy cabin upstairs has only 6 rows, so is much nicer than downstairs!

The quandary is that as WP I'd some chance for a points upgrade.

In that case, the $90 would go up into the ether.

So, I'd have to stay in 32 AB then.

Here's hoping !!!
