There's some drinks on the GC this week too if you're free Wednesday night :)

If you can move the venue closer to me, I'm in! I've pinned the location that would suit me, just to make it easier for you. ;)

Subscribing as I am interested... will confirm (yea or nay) hopefully by the end of the week.

What sort of visa would we need to visit?
Definitely tourist on arrival will do you nicely! BYO bush knife is recommended as the local bar (illegal as this is a dry province) has a dubious reputation!

Will miss drinks by a couple of days :(

If anyone is around from 2nd Dec, I'll be in town for a week.
Definitely around. Start a drinks thread for the Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday or PM me if you want to catch up one evening.

I registered to attend but was uncertain if I should bring my husband. He knows nothing about miles/points/travel hacking. Do people usually bring their spouses/partners to these events?BTW, I can't believe no one has noticed the venue is on Amex Shop Small, you guys are slipping!https://maps.americanexpress.com/AU...earch=MICK O'MALLEYS&extInd=0&type=storefront

I'm bringing my wife! Good tip about shop small. I just register and if it works, good. I don't even look at the retailers.

We were there ~3 weeks ago and I quite a few cards were used at lunch. ;)

P.S. Husband should be fine as all talk is not always nerdy.

Yea I'm in. Don't mind O'Malleys but note they do musical bingo on Wednesdays so it will be noisy.
Irish Murphy's is also very loud. Maybe the Mill? I shall leave it up to trippin_the_rift to decide.

Spouses are most welcome :). And if he comes away with just feeling pleased about the AMEX $10 then he'll have come further than a lot of people.. And thanks for pointing that out, had slipped off my radar ;)
