It would have depended on how much you can eat, or how much of a tab you could run up before paying, because don't forget there's a $20 minimum before Shop Small kicks in. (That said, since there are two of you, that might have been rather easy to hit.)

As you say, the background sounds may make a mini lecture difficult, but if it is quietish early on it could be an possibility.

(Also, I checked & Tuesday night does not have the 8pm song competitions etc that are there on a Wednesday.)

Ha! That reminds me of the 1st time I met any of this crowd.. It was in the SYD F Lounge. I wasn't sure I wanted to make myself known, so walked past the group several times to check things out.. Then decided it would be okay, no mass murders amongst them, they all looked quite normal if a bit animated, and walked over. Promptly got my foot caught between the chair legs & fell face first onto the coffee table, with food & drinks & people scattering everywhere.

Way to make an entrance & be remembered

Ah yes. I think it was on the full day of flying as many sectors & visiting lounges that I suggested after VA decided to have a WP level & matched QF. Only in the last year did I realise I could have done better with the naming of the Event & descriptions.. :O

For the benefit of Amex, yesterday I mapped a pub crawl based on the shop small promo. I did very well at all venues, as did my friends. At one venue, a friend requested that her bill be rounded up to $20. Following an explanation about the shop small promo, he gave her 50 cents from the till. Legendary!
