Pity I missed this meet - saw the FB post and replied there. Just too busy at work and Tuesdays is when Mrs QF WP works in the CBD, so I am needed as backup in case kids are sick, or need picking up from PCYC @ School.

Photos, or it didn't happen...

What happens in the pub, stays in the pub! ;)

In all honesty, my phone didn't leave my pocket and I didn't think to take any pics. I did see BB snapping a few, but the conversation seemed to draw all of our attentions away from photos.

I will show you to them next time we catch up, so that could be next weeks dinner or next year, your call.

I won't post them online.

I had a funny conversation with ozbeachbabe about an AFF event a few years ago trying to remember the date, I was able to pull up the date with some photos.

At these events do you actually discuss peoples airline, hotel etc questions like you do in threads or is it more of a social catch up eg discuss work family etc not that I expect there's any restriction on topics but just curious.

Yes. ;) :D

You often learn stuff at these events that is not mentioned on public fora ;)

After further discussion with Storyteller about the best use of points (outright or upgrade I believe was discussed), my +1 raced straight back up to the Hilton room and applied for another CC. Within about 5 min she was the proud new mum to a bouncing 100k points, free flights and lounge passes. She's now ditching a few of the other cards she has but still claims she ain't really a FFer. I replied that attending an AFF meet and greet and churning cards for points, certainly has her at the top of that slippery slope!

Meanwhile, amongst other conversations, I had a great chat with puppysparkes and learnt that not only is a boat that looks like a drifting jetty actually good fun, but he and I have more in common than I ever realised previously.

Sounds like a great event (as any Storyteller event is). Sad to miss out.

See you next time all!

No such luck with my husband but at least he found some sporting thing to watch on tv while I talked miles & points! It was nice to meet so many like-minded people and also Stefan coming all the way from the USA. Thank you Storyteller for organizing this.
