As I'm based overseas I'm sure this offer won't be available to me, but if it was I'd take the 15 SC like a shot. With reduced flying at the moment SC are hard to come by, but I can still earn points via credit card spend etc.

If a straight swap was offered I'd happily exchange 5,000 points or $50 cash for 15 SC.

Assuming that they count for lifetime status.
Looks like they do not count. Ah, no point in getting it now! 😂

Status Credits: 15 Status Credits will be credited to your account within three days of your completed application for a reward. Status Credits will not contribute towards any Platinum or Platinum One Bonus Rewards, Loyalty Bonuses, Lifetime status and any Qantas Status Accelerator. Status Credits are not transferable and will be governed by the Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions.

I'll wait until my new membership year in November before I request for the status credits...

Yeah, not counting for lifetime status makes the offer a lot less attractive for me; how do they expect me to get to LTP if they keep doing things like this?

I don't need another 1,000 points and the $20 flight discount can't be used in conjunction with "bookings which include the use of a flight credit or Qantas Points". As I have a number of credits to use up, the $20 is of little interest either.

Qantas has just provided another reason for reduced vax uptake - no contribution of SC to LTP.
You heard it here first 😂

<Cynic's hat on>

So, you have to upload your myGov digital vaccination certificate in order to claim 'prize'. Now, I don't mind that, at all - but is it a start of a vaccination database for Qantas? Again, I don't mind that; I'm good to go and the Devil take the hind-most.

<Cynic's hat off>

I see the offer on iOs, with bookings (AFF Newcastle ... sigh :()

No LifeTime SC reward so no incentive from QF to bring vaccination forward to this membership year.

They showed some stuff about it briefly in the app maybe for testing. I think it is meant to launch for real tomorrow.

I wonder if VA2 will match or better this offer.

Could be great PR if they doubled it and got into a bidding war with QF over something positive!

Look along with the 50SC's from BP, and the carryover of 100 SC's, at least I will now only need 435 SC's whenever I can fly again to keep my gold as I missed the status keeper by a month this time!

I feel the 15SC's would in a normal year along with the BP offer get a lot of Bronze to silver perhaps....

Wondering if the 15SC would be included in the SC rollover. Otherwise not much use for me in the current membership year.
