So I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Then as @MooTime reported, the offer appeared on the home page. Yes. Tried again. Nup. The CAPS thing might be the issue because everything else is the same.
But wouldn't everybody have that issue where covid certificate is in CAPS & QF app details has your name in small case?
My issue is the middle initial, which I'd think many would have that issue too.

Had the same issues with it failing about 3-4 times, claiming name mismatch.
It only works if the PDF is saved in the 'Downloads' or 'Files' section of the device (I use Android).
If trying to load from any cloud service (Google Drive, for example), it does not work. I even had offline version saved for Drive, with no success. Once I transferred to 'Downloads' folder, it worked in an instant.
Hope this helps! :)
And let us get past 80% soon together!
Stay cheerful everyone!
This was exactly the same for me and appears to be the answer. pdf must be saved directly to the device and uploaded from there, no cloud allowed.

tried all of these things, and appear to be in the same boat as you - further, when I try to change to CAPS in my Qantas account - it already appears that way in the 'My Profile' page.....grrrr

Ahhhh mate, yeah ok I heeded your words, gave it another go, open the CVCert & saved it under downloads instead of the DRIVE (Android) & went thru the process on QF app again & it worked, 1000 points.
So the middle initial don't mean squat.

I didn't realise / think the Google Drive was cloud based, der of course it is!

Thanks champ & AFF advice does it again.

Close the App and re-open it. That worked for me.

Make sure the certificate is stored on you device, not on the cloud. That was my problem.
Thanks for the tip sydtlg, it works now.

Worked for me on the 2nd try (I had mistakenly downloaded the immunization history instead of Covid digital certificate the first time). My QFF account has my full middle name and my certificate just shows middle initial, but I guess that passed the validation. I'm using iPhone and saved the file from the Medicare app direct to iCloud Drive which worked fine in the Qantas app. So whatever the restriction is on Google Drive for Android users doesn't seem to carry over to iCloud Drive for iOS users, at least in my single case!

Also this is supposably geo-blocked, so if using a VPN to another country then it won't show the option either.

All worked ok for me on an Android phone. Looking through others experiences, I made sure I had downloaded my certificate onto my phone storage, from Google Drive. The Upload worked, and now I'm in the draw

Think I'll be taking the 1,000 points since I don't fly QF. Getting closer to a gift card.

Edit: and success.

Bah! I had already added my middle name to my QFF profile this morning (great turnaround!) and it still wouldn't accept my certificate, but sure enough, once I saved the certificate directly to my device (instead of Google Drive) it accepted it without fail.
