My lunches are quite legendary and some have been known to last more than 12 hours.

I'm entirely sure you have another level of legendary. But I have a select lunch group wHere we say, if the lunch is only a few hundred and less than a couple of hours, that it was like we ate at macdonalds.

I wouldn't be interesting in eating at macdonalds if I flew to Auckland. ;)

It's usually the 16 year old scotch.

Any of their older ones are not usually available at a hotel bar......

If this event is in late March / April, I would participate (+1) in the lunch, then Hilton for the night. As much as a corp jet is my dream, I could not afford the 2xJ fares across the tasman when I could get there return for 800-900 for 2

So, put me down as a Platinum for the lunch if the planets align for dates - would be bossreggie birthday and my wedding anniversary - easy sell to +1

First reaction was that seems a bit much just for lunch, but now I see how special this lunch will be, it's got me thinking....

Option 1 could only be justified by a special celebration such as 30th or 40th.

Could go nice with LAN SC run plus a weekend in AKL. Am a silver at best, interested but less than likely.

Thanks bossreggie for the offer.

Princess Fiona, I would have thought that after a couple of drams with bossreggie, you would be using your womanly charms on Shrek and he would be putty in your hands ;)

I'm intrigued, and probably for option 2. Depending on dates, might bring Mr Katie too & go via SYD/MEL so I can show him what a First Lounge looks like. Little Miss can have special time with some family member here. Or whatever. :p

OK, Mr Katie would be up for joining, if that's OK. He's a bit of a foodie (making a batch of macarons for fun right now).
Just cancelled our tentative plans to go to HKG in Jan because he couldn't justify $12k in airfares to go to Disneyland, but the moment I mention a degustation at a great restaurant, he'll fly to another country for lunch!!!

Sheesh. I spend the day off site on meetings and miss all the back and forth.
Sounds like a grand idea though totally unable to commit to March. Sure you all will have a brilliant time.
Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

Very interested but I am just the dates for me is he main thing.

March 11 might be OK?

SWMBO will have to be consulted hugely as I am only just getting back from a 10 day boys trip overseas and then to NZ a few days later on another drinking trip.

My thoughts were, I would expect those wanting to come on the G550 to pay the usual amount for a QF J ticket and I would tip in the rest! .

Is there a points plus pay option?

Option 2 looks good, dates might be a killer though with the good wifes birthday around that time.

Hi, I'm interested subject to approval.

If selected ill clear my schedule and set aside my commission cheque to pay for it.

Cheers

Darren

I would be extremely tempted to cash in some more Krisflyer miles if I could get this past the wife. I've done PER-SYD for lunch, so why not AKL?

If the dates are free, I would love to do option 1, worst case a LAN status run..

That is if there is an offer/available invite.

And I'm sure we can work out a way of making it deductible ;)

Beginning of April sound good :)

Returning from LOTFAP on like 30 Mar, so could tie in with that perhaps ;)
